Nice idea. We've reached out to websites listing Black Friday SaaS deals to get our product included in the list. It mostly means offering a link exchange in return so we've compiled our own Black Friday round-up article. We're also using Facebook, Google display ads and Twitter to promote the deal via prospecting and retargeting campaigns. But we've had the most success in emailing our existing audience – churned customers, inactive users and those nearing the limits of our free plan.

I launched a campaign with https://pitchground.com/deals for QApop. They had a nice action plan to prepare the campaign. I might write an article sharing the result once the promotion is over.
