Launching on weekends or weekdays?
Which one do you find is better?
When we launched https://evoke-app.com/ we launched on the weekend and got 2nd product of the day.

Hi Richard! I'm not sure if you'll remember this, but you were actually the one who encouraged me to think more seriously about Product Hunt. Thanks for that—it turned out to be one of my best decisions.
To answer your question, we decided to take a risk and go with a weekday launch, as there is more traffic.
Do weekends if
1. You're looking to become the product of the day
2. You have already done a successful launch before
3. You already have a good community around your product
Go for weekdays if
1. You want to create a community around your product.
2. You want to gain new customers
3. You want your product to be mentioned in the PH newsletter
We launched Typo on PH during weekdays and it really helped us gain new customers. We also became #1 product of the day, #1 product of the week & #2 product of the month. If you need any more help, I'd be glad to help you with your launch :)

It depends on the strategy (traffic or product of the day).
I choose weekdays! I am not interested in the product of the day; I am interested in getting more traffic.
Not many people are active on weekends.

Hello Richard! we launched https://www.thesprkl.io/ on weekday and there was really big competition, if I remember it correctly there were 54 products launching this day 😃 And what was the number of products on your launch day?
Weekend has a better chance of a Top 5 - weekday for getting more eyeballs and hopefully sign-ups for your product
Have done a launch both on a weekend and weekday and honestly depends on what your aim is for the launch.
As others have said, weekend's are generally quieter, so often it is easier to get a top 5 finish with less upvotes, however if you want to get your app out there, then definitely a weekday will get more visibility and the rewards are often greater.
Our weekday launch resulted in significantly more users and site traffic than our weekend launch, however the weekday launch also required significantly more work from the team.
