An employee desire just two things: Appreciation and Respect
Employee appreciation is an excellent thing for any organization. It helps to build loyalty, trust, and relationships. Happy employees who feel appreciated will be more likely to stay with the company and help it grow.

As someone in management for ~7 years now, I completely agree. Appreciating someone's hard work is huge for morale and happiness, especially if you are their manager.

I think it's really effective, we must appreciate, it motivates and makes you feel proud Also appreciation is free and doesn’t consume a lot of time.

In my view employees are the building block of the organization, appreciations at the right time make the bond between the organization and the employee stronger. The result of your appreciation to employees can be seen in the productivity of the employees certainly. @amelia_charlie

Employee appreciation is an effective management tool because there is a direct correlation between employee appreciation, job satisfaction, workplace happiness, and employee morale. When we demonstrate care for our employees, we can increase their motivation, engagement, loyalty, and productivity.
Based on my experience, it helps. In this case, if someone does work (free or paid) and gets the appreciation, it helps. It gives sense of purpose and feeling that what I'm doing is worth for people. Along with appreciation, if you also provide them a hard gift, it proves consistency and paves the way for a stronger relationship. Whether it works with the tool, I'm not sure.
