i have more votes than 5-8 positions but i'm in #9?

hey i just launched on product hunt and have more votes than the 5-8 positions, but i'm in #9, do you know why that is?

so i just realized... no matter how many upvotes my project gets, it will never break the top 8 because it must be mark it as "featured" by someone who works at product hunt is this true? #6 has 87 upvotes #7 has 85 upvotes #8 has 80 upvotes #9 has 88 upvotes (me) i don't get it

Yeah I've noticed the same thing...seems like the featured projects get a boost regardless of upvote count. Probably worth reaching out to the PH team to see if you can get featured. Visibility on the homepage makes a huge difference in traction. Keep hustling though, your upvotes show people are digging what you built! 💪

Hmm, that doesn't seem right. The rankings should be purely based on upvotes. Being 'featured' by Product Hunt staff shouldn't override the community's votes. I'd reach out to the PH team for clarification on how the rankings work. Hopefully it's just a glitch and your project gets the visibility it deserves based on user engagement!
