Hey, I used ProductHunt to discover cool new products, but I honestly never understood what exactly a 'Hunter' is. Anyone mind explaining it to me?

@maxim_buz According to me, Hunter is an influential person on PH who has successful launched products in the past. It is like social media influencer introducing your product to the market.

Find relevant hunter on https://upvote-bell.com/leaderboard Check their personal website. Most of them have a form to ask for a hunt.

I don't think that nowaday you actually need a hunter. Yes sure it gives some bonuses, but in its essence it is a promotion business such that paid for hunted products are listed first, undermining great ideas with low budget. That's not what PH stands for! (at least I hope so)
