How successful were you when you used influencer marketing for promoting your business or product?
A few minutes ago, I read an overview of a report that more people take a source of news, not traditional outlets and media, but influencers. [I am attaching the screenshot from Reutersinstitute.]
TL;DR:
FB, YT, IG – More attention is dedicated to news media/journalists
TT, Snap – More attention is dedicated to influencers/creators
X – somewhere between
From my personal experience, we haven’t had much success with famous influencers in promoting the app so that people will download it. However, I think influencers are for awareness/visibility.
Anyway, I am interested in your experiences:
1️⃣ Have you used influencer services for your industry? What results did it bring you?
2️⃣ Which social networks did you use, and how did you find them? (Specifically, did they contact you themselves, or did you use a dedicated platform for that...)
3️⃣ Do you have any good tips on how to build the greatest possible collaboration with influencers?
I would be grateful if you could answer my last question.

Used it on LinkedIn and it was quite effective in getting us signups. Presently exploring other options.
@joseph_burutu Who were those LI influencers? Do you remember them?
Crowd
@busmark_w_nika Yes I do, I can work on the list and share with you.
@joseph_burutu Cool, thank you! <3
I was exploring using collaborations with influencers/ bigger accounts in Instagram… it ended up with numer of followers increasing for the accounts I was collaborating with but not TrueMe. My understanding is that it’s easier to build reports with influencer then a brand account.
However, I never tried paid collaboration with an influencer.
@aleksandra_trueme What do you mean by building reports with influencers?
FairPact AI
@aleksandra_trueme @busmark_w_nika probably meant "rapport". I.e., building a relationship and way of interacting with them.
@busmark_w_nika @john_licato thank you John for the explanation, that is exactly what I ment.
@aleksandra_trueme @john_licato aaaa, okay, now I understand.

@mark_heijnekamp Do you have any specific platform you want to promote/cover?
MyHabbit
@busmark_w_nika I was thinking about Linkedin but havent decided on one yet. What would you suggest?
@mark_heijnekamp For MyHabbit? I would try Instagram and some content on X related to productivity hacks, motivation, success.

Influencer marketing is quite common in China, often leveraging well-known figures within specific communities or circles, referred to as "big shots" or "大佬" in Chinese. These individuals are essentially niche influencers with a highly targeted audience and stronger trust connections. Based on past experiences, if your product has a precise target demographic, collaborating with influential figures in the relevant community can yield excellent results.
@gin_6078 Can you give an example of famous influencers in China? E.g. in tech, health and marketing? :)
Haimeta
@busmark_w_nika mostly in tech. When Manus went viral, many tech professionals wrote reviews about it.
@gin_6078 Do you mean this? https://manus.im/ :)
Yes, the best way to market anything is through influencers. I’m also searching for influencers to promote my website, novanestai.com
@jaycey7117 Where do you search? On X, IG or?
@busmark_w_nika I usually start with Google/Bing to find top influencers, then check YouTube and IG for those active in my niche. You can also use ChatGPT or other AI chat tools to suggest relevant influencers, they’re great at quickly pulling up lists based on your needs!
The more I paid for influencers the lower the conversion. A large budget made a spike with each major influencer. I tried lots of other options, 100 influencers are lower costs; the results where similar. Neither path turned into an evergreen source. This served best to diversify growth than a major cost advantage over other paid advertising.
