Knowing your own limits is vital here.As long as you anticipate what you can and cannot do in a sprint and take the load accordingly, you are less likely to be burnout.
Also, sometimes it just doesn't work, you can't work, even if you try, you won't be finished :)You should not be too hard on yourself and take a break
I try to maintain a healthy work-life balance: set boundaries between work and personal life. Though work from home and little kids make it quite a challenge 😅
Music, visiting some concerts, traveling while working sometimes, meeting with friends and teammates offline, and attending the gym. These things help me to keep motivated and avoid burnout. It helps me to work even on weekends when it is smth. urgent to do, Keeping balance is a must.
This is a really important topic Natia, especially for those of us leading teams. My strategies / suggestions are:
- Having healthy boundaries around work vs. personal time
- Working flexibly so the team knows they can follow suit
- Prioritising exercise & sleep
- Eating well
- Practising mindfulness
- Managing your own workload & delegating effectively
- Carving out time for connection & fun
- Taking adequate time off to refuel & recharge
