How do you feel about the TikTok ban in the US?

I’ve seen people joking about the ban, saying goodbye to their personal 'Chinese spy' and that they’ll miss it, even calling themselves 'TikTok refugees' 😂 But on a serious note, how do you feel about the potential ban? Will you switch to platforms like Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, or take a break from short-form video content altogether?

I don’t use TikTok at all. But I think such bans are stupid and pointless. If there’s demand for the product (and it makes money), an alternative will appear very soon.

Short videos have become an indispensable part of our lives, and I think people have already gotten used to TikTok model. As for me, I can’t live without it now, and I’m also curious about what others think.

Very sad. I think it's a bit weird we blame everything on Tiktok. It offers a lot of value - and I'm not just saying entertainment. So many people found hope during the pandemic because of Tiktok. They built their small businesses and found their customers because of Tiktok algorithm. Now they have to start over - and it's not always easy. I feel sad for them.
