How do you feel about full app access vs waitlist?

Our app is curated for top content creators and we have a waitlist we go through before we accept users. Do you think we should have "view-only" app access for everyone and waitlist access for those who want to become a creator OR have waitlist application as only thing new users see before they get accepted?

Suggest they join the waitlist. It's enough to show a demo video and a few screenshots, but giving the view-only access in the early stages can plant some expectations, and if you change something during the development which happens quite often, it can affect your early users.

@zencheetah yes, but the excitement has diluted a little bit as the process has been quite long and hard sometimes😁

Imho, waitlist is a much better option as it sets expectations straight. If you somehow fail to show the value of the platform in the "View only" version, you'll lose interest and miss out on getting the potential users interested. I'm a fan of giving a bit of a teaser, but as Anatolii mentioned - in a form of a demo video. Makes people more curious :)

@hey_its_kas Kas, i appreciate that a lot. You're right, the waitlist is also for us to curate the users, but it does serve as a good barrier against disappointment while our features are limited. Thanks!
