Deleting social media from time to time, saying no to social hangouts to rest and unwind, dedicating time to hobbies that don't include screens (cooking, drawing, playing, reading)!
@anna_mandziuk For as long as I need!
Sometimes more than a week, sometimes just a couple of days.
It's totally OK to use social media, it's just important to notice when you're not in the right headspace to use it, and see when it is causing more harm than good.
@anna_mandziuk I totally get what you are saying, I had a similar experience. It is so hard to control once our body clock sets in ๐ To avoid talking longer naps, I'm starting timers on multiple devices around me so that i don't end up taking longer naps ๐
I have a running list of things that make me happy and places that carry pleasant memories. When I plan out my month or my week, I pull out both and try to plan at least one activity and/or place to visit from one of the lists every single weekend. Has been working for me for years :)
The bottom line of my method is having something to look forward to, regardless of special occasions!
E.g. this weekend I plan to have solo brunch in the area where I used to live 3 yrs ago (and have very fond memories of). Love my job and day-to-day life but still look forward to treating myself all the time :)
