Hey PH community πŸ‘‹, I'm gearing up for a product launch in 2 months πŸš€ and considering the impact of kickstarting a blog on our website before we go live. With the aim to boost engagement, SEO, and brand awareness pre-launch, I'm eager to understand how crucial this strategy might be πŸ€”. Does publishing blogs before launching help in gaining initial traction and building a meaningful audience πŸ“ˆ? Or are there more impactful pre-launch efforts we should focus on πŸ’‘? Would appreciate insights or experiences on the effectiveness of pre-launch blogging for product visibility and user acquisition πŸ“Š. Thanks for your input! πŸ™

@ishan_18 Absolutely, pre-launch blogging is highly beneficial. It boosts SEO, builds anticipation, and establishes your brand's authority, helping you gain initial traction and audience. Combine it with social media engagement and email marketing for maximum impact. Start early to lay a solid foundation for your launch. Good luck! πŸš€πŸ‘
As a solo founder, I always wonder if I should be using my personal blog redirecting traffic or for the tools I develop create a separate blog, maybe more focused. Any thoughts on that?

@gael_grosch I would always use the product's own website for blogging related to my product, not any other website I own. Focus on topic is more important in this sense

I think it's important not for SEO but for build trust in the eyes of your prospective customers. A blog that includes product-related specific content will make your website and product seem more reliable. It doesn't even have to be a huge blog. Just 15-20 articles will be fine if they are written carefully

Generally, blogging is a long-term play to gradually increase your site traffic from organic Google search over 4-12 months. So you should do it if that is one goal of yours β€” but to increase the impact on your upcoming launch, I'd put just as much effort into using that blog content on other more immediate platforms where your target market hangs out. Could be X, or Linkedin, or wherever. That way you tick more boxes and get more out of the content you're making.

@ishan_18 yeah for sure. just don't have wild expectations in 2 months. Really depends on your niche, how strong the competition is, and how much talent/time/effort you have to put into the blog.

Yes, publishing blogs on the website before the launch can be beneficial. It helps in building anticipation, generating interest, and establishing an online presence. Pre-launch blogs allow you to share information about your product, its features, and the problems it solves. This can attract potential users, create a buzz, and even improve your website's search engine optimization (SEO) by having relevant content available early.
