Does Product Hunt have a big effect on the launch of your product?

I am interested to know if achieving a top rank on PH has made a big impact on your product launch and if you succeeded in attracting new users, or if it's more valuable as an exercise in brand awareness. From what I have read it looks like the launch will require a lot of planning and effort and I wanted to ask if people felt it was worthwhile. Thanks in advance for any comments :)

I haven’t launched a product on Product Hunt yet, but I’ve been researching it as part of my own planning. From what I’ve read, it seems like achieving a top rank can definitely bring visibility and attract early users, but the overall impact might depend on your product and target audience. It also seems like a great exercise for brand awareness and connecting with the startup community. It takes planning—like creating a great launch page and engaging with comments—but it’s worth it if done well. I'm relatively new to PH, but came here because multiple start ups I've worked with have said this site has brought them a lot of value in terms of product awareness and finding early adopters that are willing to test and promote their technology. In terms of a longer-term user acquisition strategy, I'm not sure - others in the community will be better placed to comment on that I'm sure :)

I'd imagine it's worth it for the visibility boost and new user signups, but only if you have a plan to keep the momentum going.

I’m new to Product Hunt myself and haven’t launched a product here yet. However, from what I’ve seen, PH seems like a great platform to connect with early adopters and tech enthusiasts who are genuinely excited about discovering new products. Even if it only boosts your product’s visibility, it could still be a worthwhile venture.
