is it only for comments that get upvotes, as i have multiple posts with lots of upvotes and it doesn't seem to have an impact in it

@misterocean Apparently its awarded from engagement. So upvotes mean nothing

@cameronscully_ it seems to grow by one for each new follower, if that might be helpful
