Such drama! Twitter's not going anywhere.

Elon Musk is a big drama, a greedy person. He is doing all this to maximize his return on investment. Now Twitter stock price will decline and he will buy a lot, then will increase stock price and will earn huge amount.

Twitter will definitely survive. It might be a little rocky for a while, but it will eventually stabilize. It's not going anywhere at all.

Yes, it will survive. Will get to discover how Mr. Musk is going to play with this platform and make it standout. 🙌

I agree with your assessment. Twitter is simply too large to "disappear". Numerous influencers, communities and key players have established ties and amassed influence which can not be easily replaced by migrating on another app. Perhaps its value will be further diminished in the immediate future, but in the long run, I see twitter surviving this

Our phones should encourage real, human connection. Regular people in day-to-day places (ex: coffee, class, gym, and work) backbone life. So, I think you'll notice social media become increasingly local. Intentionality drives user-user interaction. Facebook feels like dark waters, Instagram is Narcissus, and Twitter dreams of itself as a town hall. I'll be watching whether Twitter becomes (i) more transactional in nature (i.e. pay-to-win), then (ii) whether this dampens its open, social prerogatives.

Besides being racist and fascistic and offensive...Elon lacks the humility needed in a situation like this. People at a company got promoted for a reason so firing the people who got promoted to high positions before even understanding why and what they do, is a recipe for disaster. Even if its a good idea, unless he is doing it all by himself its like building another ship while the Titanic is sinking...it doesn't matter how good the plans are....its not the right time....the smart people will jump ship....the only people left will be the people who don't realize its sinking...eventually he will or he'll drown too...cars don't swim...

This is the objective for all this drama...Everyone talking about it...I would say "Narrative well made and executed"😂

Since there is still no other social network similar to Twitter, it will survive so far. I see many people moving to Insta or Tumblr, but the atmosphere and the way those networks work are very different. If it doesn't crash like physically, I don't think it'll go anywhere

Change is hard. And when it is happening it is miss-understood and miss-represented. I really do wish Elon the best and I hope that he will succeed in his $44 bln. venture.

Twitter will survive

No doubt, it will survive, and after some rocky / bumpy patches will thrive like never before.

Will not die instantaneously as some are projecting it to. Unless the mercurial CEO decides to kill it himself for some reason. Employees leaving Twitter will not kill it, or any other company. There are thousands of skilled (and average) developers who would rush to join Twitter at the drop of a hat, if and when Twitter hires due to the "mass resignation" of the current employees. However, it's relevance or USP MIGHT be affected because of decisions like getting verified badges by paying, and the rumored longer character limit. Unless Mr. Musk decides to unroll them. In any case, Elon Musk seems to be rattled by having to buy it half-heartedly. It seems he was having lots of fun taking digs at Twitter before jokingly throwing a deal at them which he did not expect Twitter to accept. He tried to wriggle out but had to buy. And it turns out to be an expensive buy. Now he has to make drastic, some even bewildering, changes to cut his losses. Can't blame him for it. Or maybe we can :) P.S. Not a Twitter (or any social media) user, so won't be affected. Just watching things unravel in amusement.

I think it will survive but the next few months won’t be easy it seems as the Chief Twit presses on with his mega restructuring. Borderline madness to me but perhaps it’s what needed to shake the company up properly.
