I watched mkbhd’s review and his video with this exact question as the topic. I agree 100% with both his review of the product and the impact on businesses. Regards the humane ai product specifically the take aways were it’s an incredibly ambitious and well made product that has made a (really big) mistake in skipping smart phone integration. Also “phones are just OP” 😂
While bad reviews can indeed pose challenges, they also offer companies invaluable feedback for improvement and can demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction when addressed effectively. It's the response to these reviews, rather than the reviews themselves, that often defines a company's resilience and character.

depends on who criticizes the company. Someone like mkbhd will do more damage to a brand

Bad products kill companies, not bad reviews. Shipping an MVP that needs work is fine though, as long as it's really clear it's an MVP. Humane should have done a more beta / MVP launch targeted towards developers first. Iterate more before trying to go mass market. That said, it's a much bigger challenge to do this for a hardware startup, so I do think we should give Humane AI some slack.

@jeremiah_omueti yeah true... Idk what their development looked like before launching, maybe they had an MVP they tested out before this??

It depends on the amount of bad reviews, but for me if I see 10% of bad reviews, this won't change my opinion, because I travel a lot and read a lot of silly comments to different hotels and here we have the same mechanic)) But if I see that out of all reviews 30% are bad, I'll think twice before buying this product!

Of course they do. Bad reviews affect those companies to employ better employers.
