Are you noticing lots of similar projects on Product Hunt lately?

I’ve been browsing Product Hunt quite a bit, and it feels like I’m seeing a wave of similar products launching back-to-back, from AI tools to SaaS platforms and automation apps.


Is it just me, or is there a trend of projects blending into each other lately? Why do you think that happens?

  • Is it the hype cycles driving this?

  • Are makers playing it safe by following proven ideas?

  • Or maybe the tools and templates out there are making projects look and feel too similar?

What would you like to see change? More originality? More niche-focused products?

I think it’s just the era we’re in. It’s easier these days for someone non technical to pick up a template and start vibe coding and hacking something together. I’m interested to see how things unfold as AI code generators become more powerful — I think we’ll continue seeing this same trend, but hopefully in more valuable spaces in the market. We don’t need another AI image generator.
