Depends on the app & time of day. In the evening, I sometimes prefer dark mode to reduce eye strain. For some apps (especially IDEs, i.e. code editors), I strictly prefer dark mode. But as others pointed out, color balancing is crucial.

Dark mode but only if implemented well. I have some used some apps which don't put the colors very well for dark mode and I just don't like that at all.

It's interesting. It's a fine balance for me.

For me, I think it depends on what the app does. For example, any app with graphs or lots of images/illustrations would work best on dark mode. Other apps/blogs/websites can work better on light mode.
