free ways to increase website traffic
1. Get listed in online directories.
2. Build backlinks.
3. Post to social media.
4. Include hashtags in your posts.
5. Use landing pages.
I think it depends what products you're offering. But for general methods, these are the ones I find best:
1. Reddit. Find an subreddit related with your product and post it on there. I've noticed images tend to to better than pure text, and try not to make your images too "sales-y"; make them more casual. Same thing with your text as well. For best success, I would post on multiple subreddits. Seriously, build a list.
2. Brandpush.co. Not affiliated with them. They'll guarantee you get on 200 news sites (for a limited time, but 3-24 months is more than enough) for a one time fee. It has to be in press release format, so similar to reddit, it should not try to sound like you're selling to customers. I recommend their cheapest plan, since their more expensive plans are essentially downgrades from my experience
3. Indie hackers and similar sites. There's a lot of similar sites to Product Hunt and Indie Hackers is one of them. There's no rule saying you can't launch with other sites if you launch with Product Hunt, so you can do that as well. Keep in mind these sites have similar rules, so you'll have to interact with the community a little before launching.
@matt_bilardo Yes, and it worked really well in driving traffic to my site. Just be warned that the traffic is definitely more general rather than focused, so conversion rates might be low unless your product has mass appeal.
@annachen_ whichever platform you start with ensure you have events tracking set up. For example, if you are starting with Meta, add the pixel and if your objective is lead, have a lead event set up.
Also set up Google Analytics for your website to track the performance of your campaigns. Use UTM tracking.
Start with a lower budget of let's say $25-50/day to test out. If your budget is low, ~$50/day have only one campaign and maximum 2 ad sets with 2-3 ads, if you have more than that then it's stretching too thin. Let it run for 3-4 days before making any changes.
Once you start seeing leads flowing in, start experimenting with audience, creatives, ad objective, landing page copy, ad copy to optimize.
Also set up an email campaign for the leads that come in, so you have higher engagement.
Let me know know if you have more questions, happy to help out :)
@vishal_godhwani Great advice Vishal! It all makes sense to me. How effective is Facebook for B2B apps? I have read that LinkedIn is the place to be for that but LinkedIn ads are so dar. expensive!
@matt_bilardo Hey Matt, I haven't worked in B2B yet, so won't be able to give data backed advice. But no harm in trying right? Meta ads are really cheap, may be you can collect leads from LinkedIn and retarget them via Instagram or the vice versa. This way you can save on costs.
To drive traffic to your new website, there's no better way than to post about it on social media.
But you can't just randomly start posting about your new site. That's not going to get you any notice, and it could end up hurting your brand. Instead, you need to come up with a strategy that will help you get the most out of social media posts.
There are many ways to drive traffic to a new website, including:
1. Social media marketing: Share links to your website on social media platforms and engage with your followers to promote your site.
2. Content marketing: Create and share valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience. This can help attract visitors to your site and improve your search engine rankings.
3. Email marketing: Build an email list and send newsletters or promotional emails to subscribers to drive traffic to your site.
4. Paid advertising: Use paid advertising platforms, such as Google AdWords or social media ads, to reach a larger audience and drive traffic to your site.
5. Influencer marketing: Collaborate with influencers or industry experts who have a large following to promote your site to their audience.
I would say everything on the web revolves around great and genuine content. Traffic is where you deliver plag-free, amazing, and interactive content. You should work on how you create and deliver
1. Images/ Visuals
2. Videos that trigger brainstorming
3. Infographics that talk about your services with the audience
4. Text that communicates
Rest everything might sync along with these.
@rupal_sharma3 Then try to generate good pictures or videos for users to share, but it takes time and exploration to do it well. Do you have any examples to share with me? Thank you.
