We're glad you're enjoying the app! Yes, in addition to converting formats, ConvertImg.com can also help you reduce the size of your images while maintaining quality as much as possible. There is a slider that you can use to define the quality of the output image, the better the quality the larger the file size, and the lower the quality smaller the file size. 🖼️👌

About free services I can't help but always assume that I'm the product or the content I provide. So a clear sentence somewhere about the retention of images would be appealing.
