Oh, so it's not a free SSL, it's a hosting. I think it's confusing. Now almost every hosting providers gives you a free SSL certificate via Let's encrypt.

@bogomep SimpleSSL is actually a new add-on we've created that makes SSL configuration *really* easy (and free)! We've changed the copy to more accurately reflect that – sorry for the confusion!
