It says EyeLevel but it’s really NextLevel! Congrats on the launch! Can’t wait to start using it with my team

@timeforliftoff Appreciate that energy and the test drive!! 🚀
Max Prilutskiy
Launching soon!
Interesting topic. Good luck with the product! 👍
Rickey Hodinh
@prilutskiy Thanks Max! Really appreciate the support 🙌🏽

Similar to workplace by facebook, right?
David Salinger
Good question, Bilal! We've used Workplace before and found it more similar to the way companies use Slack and Teams than EyeLevel. Do you use Workspace with your team?
Jon Holm
I've got a brand new team I'm taking on and am looking forward to trying this out to set a new stage for meaningful conversations without all of the stuffy feelings that come with traditional 1-1s.
David Salinger
@jon_holm Thanks, Jon! Maybe this will help you kick things off as the 'fun boss'!
Rickey Hodinh
Howdy Hunters! 👋🏽 Thanks for checking us out today! I’m Rickey, and I’m a founder here on the product team at EyeLevel, and our mission is to help people join and build happier teams. Healthy and effective 1:1s are vital to your team’s happiness and take a ton of work. But that doesn’t mean it has to always feel like work. Reducing the formality and stress that often comes with those conversations can enhance those relationships. EyeLevel Broadcasts and Duos break the mold of ritualistic agendas by making it easy to share topics, prioritize things on the fly, and act on pressing issues in a unique way as you go about your workday. Since 2020, remote work has become much more common and socializing with your closest team members has really taken a hit. Now with EyeLevel, you can share interactive stories and participate in real-time experiences, while working together in a private space just for your team. There’s even a dedicated audio + video break room that helps you recapture those unplanned moments from the office that made you laugh and lightened the mood on a tough day. Here are a few ways EyeLevel has been helping teams already: 🎯 Reducing friction in tracking conversations with a dedicated venue for each member of your team—no more scrambling between emails, Zoom, notes, texts, and Slack to prep for your next 1:1 🎯 Increasing team engagement through interactive and fun-to-use conversation Broadcasts that can be joined in real-time or asynchronously—more like a mini-social network than a corporate chat thread 🎯 Revealing inequity by bringing everyone into the same workflow, making it easier to see how you’re spending your 1:1 time and identify who is being left out We hope you like what you see and will give EyeLevel a try today, we’d love to have you!

This looks cool, I wish there were more screenshots / demos on the website (or if there are I didn't find them). It could also be a viable social app outside of work teams if you ever wanted to pivot or expand the network.
David Salinger
@m_stole Thanks for that feedback, Max! 😎 And yes, we agree... already working on a few additional use cases that expand beyond this core manager+team group. Would love to have you try it and we'll include you in the beta of those new groups when that is ready!
Glen Creaser
When did you launch? And what size teams do you see this working best with? Cool idea.
David Salinger
@glen_creaser Thanks, Glen! We've had teams on an early version since last Summer, and it's mostly been teams between 5-12 members. The way it works is a manager invites their direct reports, so it's rare for that type of team to be much larger than 12-15. Are you leaning on any product in particular today when it comes to your team 1:1s and social interactions?
Tyler Klug
Really great stuff. My old managers and I rarely did traditional 1 on 1's at a desk because we saw so much more value in going for a walk, or just sitting down for a drink somewhere less formal so we could chat about what's going on. Wish something like this existed 2 years ago! Can't wait to use this with my new team in the future though. Good luck!
David Salinger
@klug We appreciate your support, Tyler! And 💯 on board with walking 1:1s and other ways to have those chats away from the desk and laptop, it really helps discussions flow a lot more candidly
Rickey Hodinh
@klug Very much agreed! The formality usually adds an uncomfortable "meeting" vibe, which is the opposite of what you want for these open and honest conversations.

This is an awesome idea! Now more than ever teams want to be connected in practical and social ways - this seems like a way to do both.
David Salinger
@poabeanscafe No kidding, Kim... Thanks for checking it out today, we appreciate it! :)
Kyle
We've been using this on both of my teams at Disney and it's been a lot of fun. I'm also a newer manager and I like the more social approach to chatting and having 1:1s in an app like this. 👍🏻
Rickey Hodinh
@starlympy7 Thanks for posting, Kyle! We love having newer managers like you using EyeLevel. It’s definitely a different approach to 1:1s and having your fresh perspective helps a ton 🥳

I believe that this product could put structure to something that every company is already doing. 1 on 1s are a valuable tool for growth and dialogue within an organization. This tool can help put a framework around those engagements while letting colleagues interact in a more collaborative and social manner. I would highly recommend giving this product a try and exploring how it can help your organization.
David Salinger
@nate__rehn We appreciate it, Nate! Thanks for your support and for using EyeLevel!
Cari Jaquet
I don't run a traditional team. We do group stand-ups every other day, keep "no-Zoom Wednesdays" open for project deep-dives and I keep office hours (where I just open a zoom line so people can come and go as they need). With so many other noisy tools (slack, google chat, Asana, etc.), I didn't think we had a use case for another collaboration tool. I have been really impressed and surprised at how much lighter this feels compared to how we were having conversations before. We are able to keep big topics on track in EyeLevel and it works more like our team works.
David Salinger
@cari_jaquet So happy to hear you are still doing the no-Zoom days! We're lucky to have you on board, Cari :)
