This is so great!! I *love* the idea of flipping the power dynamic so that candidates are the ones pursued by companies, not the other way around. Is this just for women, like the other Elpha products? How long do you think/hope/expect it will take for a job seeker to be contacted by a hiring manager? I'm curious if this is more of a passive, post a profile and then wait-and-see, or whether the matching process is likely to move quickly. Congrats on the launch!

@amy_buechler1 Thank you! Anyone can create an Talent Pool Profile. Elpha is primarily focused on supporting people who identify as women though :) Re: when to expect to be contacted by a hiring manager. It depends! As soon as you submit Step 1 of setting up your profile, hiring managers can reach out to you. We also send the hiring managers we work with recommended new candidates each week, so you will get some extra visibility when you are new or when you update your profile. When a hiring manager is doing a search for a specific role though they will often reach out to candidates who have been listed for some time – and we do see connections happening there! So if you are passively looking for your dream job, you can make a profile and see what rolls in :)

I've been a member of elpha for quite some time now.My most favorite community, such helpful members, any question you ask, someone out there will be ready to jump in with valuable inputs, infact, out of the box ideas, totally different perspective, overall it's a great place. I've seen the list of great companies elpha partners with, the readiness elpha's talent acquisition team have, just great. Many congratulations on the launch Team Elpha!

The content that the team pushes out is excellent, and the screening process is diligent and keeps the community safe. @adityavsc Elpha aims to eliminate that hunt by flipping the “candidate applies to company” script (although you can do that with Elpha, also). We aim to match job seekers to companies based on skillset as well as the cultural values they share. Candidates will receive intro requests from companies and if they opt in, they'll be intro'd directly to hiring managers. We do our matchmaking using cultural characteristics like: Emphasize building fast; prioritize speed over process, Have a stated compensation philosophy, Team puts budget towards DEI initiatives, and more to support candidates in vetting for the right fit up front, beyond just skills. Also, by partnering with Elpha - where 50k+ women in tech build our careers together - every company recruiting from the Talent Pool is taking an active step towards creating an equitable workplace.

When I was last job searching, I had a color-coded, multi-sectioned, many-columned spreadsheet full of 100s of roles. I tried to keep it organized with the values I could discern the company cared about and what I thought of my possible alignment with the team after interviews, but man was it hard to manage. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (It actually looked something like this job search scoreboard: https://docs.google.com/spreadsh... shared by @kevanlee in the past!) Hi @brian_mak - Good point! The profile creation flow will definitely evolve with time, data and feedback. For this v1, the Talent Pool profile is created once you click “Save & Continue” on the first page.
