@_1_ras you mean how does it work? I would like to avoid a detailed description for now :) GPT-3 is the basis, I think you can get some basic results in 30 minutes using it

@ax8080 hi, maybe I asked not in right way. I know how GPT work, but I didnt get how your product provide, if I cant to put links to GPT - it doesnt accept. So could explain what I should do in your product and what to get?

@_1_ras Ouch ouch ouch sorry! You need to install Chrome Extension from this link: https://chrome.google.com/websto... Then open any Youtube video and click "Summarize" button. After installation the "Tutorial" will open automatically.

Great tool! I'd suggest a feature where I can prompt the summary according to my current research goals. For instance, customize it like "list top 3 most important ideas" or "list all cities that were mentioned", and so on.

Wow, this looks really cool! Will there be any mobile support in the future? I'm always on the go and would love to be able to access Eightify from my phone.

@mari_yanchauskayte Thanks!! I'm definitely thinking of adding mobile support in the future, but right now I'm focusing on making the Chrome extension as good as possible. If the product is successful, I'll definitely jump into mobile development. Even though I've never done a mobile app before :)

@aleybov Thanks! Yeeah, I even started working on a one-click sharing feature. But unfortunately didn't make it before the launch, like many other things 😀 Definitely planning to add it soon, stay tuned!

I embed YouTube videos on my blog that might be of interest to my readers from third-party creators and I can use this tool to provide them with a summary of what's in the video to help them to decide whether to watch it or not. @simon_s_j Thank you! You can give it a try already, it's live. By the way all the cached already summarized videos are free for all users. So if you summarize it once, all the summaries will be instantly available for your readers.

This is a great idea and will be very useful for busy people. Do you plan to add support for Firefox? I use Firefox as my primary browser and would love to be able to use this extension.

@dchekhin Thanks! Sorry to say Firefox has only about 3% of market share 😢 If I do add support for Firefox it won't be at the top of my priority list 😀 I apologize for that, but I'm doing my best to make sure Eightify works great on Chrome!

Incredible work - congratulations on launching 🎉! I'm curious if there are any plans for AI powered summarisation for audio podcasts? I listen to a lot of podcasts and it would be great to have a summary of the key points I could refer back to.

@1g0rrr I was really worried about the huge Product Hunt traffic and that I would spend all the money to pay for the OpenAI GPT, so I reduced the number of free runs on the trial. Perhaps I'll increase it when the wave of users passes! By the way, all videos that have already been handled by someone are free, and there is no charge for that. And there are more and more of them. Thanks for the feedback!
