@benedictslaney Dear Friend, as can be derived from here: http://www.cleverfiles.com/help/... - the simple answer is “probably not”. The TRIM function on an SSD (solid state drive) effectively nulls out the space where deleted files were stored, making the data completely unrecoverable, even by Disk Drill. However, we are aware of the recovery cases within Disk Drill users that actually succeeded even on SSD drives.
How could it be possible? We are not 100% sure, however, TRIM is not activated automatically, by itself. Based on the available information, TRIM is involved only when OS sends a command confirming a specific range of memory sectors is no longer in use anywhere. If your OS did not initiate this request (due to an error, or power failure, or delayed CPU response), the sectors containing deleted data will stay readable to Disk Drill, and data may still be recovered.
Also we are acting proactively by offering a bit more than just pure data recovery in Disk Drill for SSD drives. See the same article I'm quoting.
I've been waiting for 4 hours for recovering files. This app found them awesomely, but you know what sucks? After 4 hours waiting, I can not recover my files because I did not buy PRO. I wish I can recover my files for 1 time only on trial.

So the basic version ("preview all recovery methods") doesn't actually restore anything at all? TBH $89 is pretty steep considering I've never had luck with any recovery software so far.
@arunpattnaik Hi Arun! You can surely recover lost data with Disk Drill Basic, which is the free edition, but for that you need it to be installed before the data got deleted by accident. That's why our data protection methods are so popular. For all additional recovery methods like Deep Scan, Catalog Rebuild, Partition Recovery, etc., you do need to upgrade to PRO, however, you can always verify your data is recoverable before paying anything by simply previewing your lost files in Disk Drill Basic.
