We are accustomed to use cloud storages without thinking about privacy too much. But where is my data actually? Who has access to my data? With these questions in mind, my good friend Sebastian started to develop Cryptomator in the beginning of 2014. There was no other cloud encryption solution that was both easy-to-use and open-source. When I later joined to develop Cryptomator for iOS in 2015, it was clear that developing the Android app would be next. After one year of beta testing with over 10,000 testers, we're thrilled to release Cryptomator 1.0 for Android today. The Android app uses the same crytographic library (CryptoLib, https://github.com/cryptomator/c...) as the desktop version of Cryptomator. The encryption scheme is publicly documented here: https://cryptomator.org/security... Thank you for checking it out and let us know if you have any questions!
