We're excited to announce the rebranding of Criticker -- a recommendation engine for movies, TV series, and games. We're launching with a brand new logo, and a new style that we hope will encourage more users to try the service!

How can Criticker help you?

Criticker's goal is to find the people who most closely share your tastes. We then use those people's ratings to generate super-accurate recommendations for you, with an algorithm that's easy to understand and completely transparent. We tell you where you can stream new hits, allow you to build collections, add to a watch list, track your viewing history, and so much more.

A Short History of Criticker’s Long Journey

Until recently, Criticker had largely been a side project. We would work on it in bursts, adding a new feature here or there, but never really committing. The style was completely out-dated, and although we put in the regular maintenance work necessary to keep the lights on, we never made an effort to modernize or promote Criticker at all. We've never sought or received funding.

Despite all of this, Criticker has slowly attracted a loyal audience that has stuck with us through the years. We now have over 21 million ratings stored, from 100,000 users. At some point, the "side project" turned into something with real potential, and we have now decided to see what it's capable of.

It’s a Great Time to Discover (or Rediscover) Criticker!

This relaunch is the first major site update in many, many years, and represents a huge step forward in the future of Criticker. If you already know about Criticker, we hope you love the changes we've made! And if you're new to the site, we hope you have fun with it... and maybe even find the person out there who thinks almost exactly like you!
