Spotlight is where you recognize people publicly:
Friends, family, coworkers - everyone feels encouraged when they're recognized by their peers.

Congrats on the launch! It's awesome to see other people working in this space - last year I built something similar, but I haven't publicly launched it, yet (https://uchanged.me). With my alpha & beta testers I didn't get above the threshold for engagement I've set for myself to continue working on the product, so I kind-of gave up on it. Will probably launch it later on this year with none of the original expectation of grandeur - just as a free place where people can thank their influencers. Good luck to you and Spotlight! Upvoted! Tweeted!

@nikolaytsenkov hey thanks a lot for the kind words. Really appreciate it!

@nikolaytsenkov And I'm going to check out your product also. For what it's worth, I found that some of the things I didn't think would do well actually did really well once I launched publicly. So don't be afraid to put yours out there!!
Andrew Tye
@nikolaytsenkov hey, uchanged.me is a really cool concept! you should definitely launch it I think. Do you think it could work for anyone or just influencers?
Nikolay Tsenkov
@awt Thanks for the kind words. My original idea was influencers. I wanted to be able to publicly thank people who have played a big part in my life. But if I have to be honest I probably wanted to have a place where I can see who have I influenced in my life, even more. :) Don't know if it would work for any type of social/personal feedback. Could be.

@nikolaytsenkov it is always hard for me to know for sure how it will work until launching. I wouldn't be surprised to see it work pretty well!

@stuffbyspencer hey thanks a lot for the kind words!

I love this, I defiantly think we need to focus on the good especially when the media only shows negative stuff.
Andrew Tye
@alberto_perez1 Thank you!!
Andrew Tye
@alberto_perez1 is it something you would use with friends or more for co-workers?
Alberto Perez
@awt I would think co-workers but also for the public. I oftentimes see good deeds from random people on the streets.
Andrew Tye
@alberto_perez1 thanks. that's exactly what I'm hoping for. And I've been hearing similar things from others. Challenge is how to recognize good things (or give feedback) to people you don't know...it's not like you have their email address! so still working on that part of it...

What new recognition type / emoji would you like to see? (e.g " Thanks πŸ™πŸΎ ")
