Climb is a language-learning application that boosts your vocabulary by helping you to discover and memorize new words. Climb is full of GIFs, it measures your vocabulary size, and creates a personalized learning journey depending on your level.

@magnetto_james thanks! It's a native iOS app and that's why we don't have an android version yet lol.
I use kindle for reading and when I select word there is no share button, do you support kindle?

interesting concept! i recall reading an article about duolingo and that they realized that many users from the US are actually learning English
your app estimated my level as "native intermediate". In general, how useful is it for native speakers?
@maxim_halliday we actually have several users that are native speakers. They usually use it to improve domain-specific vocabulary like terms in politics or history. The good thing about the app is that it doesn't limit you on what to learn, so even though we're targeting advanced speakers, you can still use it in your way. Many just enjoy looking up GIFs for the words :)

Market Differentiator 😎
1. Even though everyone can use Climb to improve their vocabulary, we created it for people like us: non-native speakers who live in English-speaking countries and need to diversify their vocabulary.
2. The language-learning market has become highly saturated with apps targeting beginners. These apps offer little to nothing for people who are intermediate and advanced speakers. The only thing available are tools crippled with complex UIs.
3. Climb addresses this need with a clear, coherent, and, most of all, fun approach to advanced language acquisition.
Origins 🌎
The original idea of our app was to simply allow users to save looked-up words on their phones to memorize them later. It's still the core idea of our app: https://theclimb.app/share/ , but in addition to that we added many more features to ensure fun learning.

really nice app, I love it! I wonder how do you calculate the result? Is it your own algorithm?
@karen_garlstyan there are many tests which can calculate user's vocabulary size and we developed this one given its simplicity. The most accurate way to count someone's vocabulary would be to go through all words in the dictionary and count how many you knew. Instead, we check every N word in 2 steps and it allows us to provide a pretty good estimate.
User can certainly select more words and get higher results, but that's up to the user :)
