I'm superpumped about what Butter has built. We had our first call using the platform and at first it seemed like another browser-based video streaming tool... but then they gave me access to the facilitator tools and my mind melted down. I found Butter via a Slack workspace in June 2020, and I immediately saw the promise. Spoke to its co-founder Chris and exchanged a few emails. They are always a little more than what you would expect in a new product in this category—adding new delightful utilities with tonnes of energy. :) Being a design and product consultant, I love their attention to details, and the velocity of their decisions making sense in the product itself. I have referred it to a few of my friends in UX and product for hosting programs and workshops and I am looking forward to see how it scales.

We're all 1 year into the "shitty workshop mess" of 11 calendar invites for a 3 hour session, of constantly sending new links back and forth, of people rejoining the wrong rooms and missing sessions. It's broken and it needs fixing. That's what Butter is. The new way to workshop. As someone who has ran workshops, as someone who attends them, I can safe Butter is just Much better than what you're currently doing. Give it a try.

Looks really fun and well thought with cool integrations as well as very useful ones, congrats for the launch and the very good work. It gets me excited to bring my team there and do some workshops even though we don't necessarily do any at the moment. One question though: how do you feel about the competition with big video conference softwares?

Can you skip the video element and do audio only? I get video is powerful for connection but there are many who it is a distraction for or overwhelming. Cheers

I just spent like 20 minutes in a session with @chrismessina on butter and fell immediately in love. What's not to love? The UI is simple but very very effective, including features that don't make it usually to the "first launch" iteration, like emoji reactions in chats, uploading gifs and videos, private notes. Soundboard and video reactions are awesome! Agenda management, times and polls are all amazing enhancements that folks will love in their workshops. This feels like it was thought out well and truly. Kudos guys, this is great!

Very cool!! Have you thought of doing any integrations or collaborations with Hopin, or do you see them as more of a competitor?

How advanced is the whiteboard compared to Miro or Mural for example?

Tried it, and I'm glad I'm able to start right away (without asking me to subscribe, etc). Love that it already has stuff like in-built music in waiting room etc., and not mentioning many other cool but helpful features! Great stuff.

I know first hand how hard Jakob and the team have been working on this, delighted to see their determination has resulted in such a beautiful product! 😍

Tried this out for our previous "All Faces" meeting, and our team loved it! Voting, etc. Good fun. Haven't tried it for workshops though!

I've been following (meet)Butter and Jakob for months now and only ever heard good things. The guys are constantly improving the tool and really changing the world of workshops.

This might pretty much be the best virtual workshop platform I have used so far! Wanna know my fav part? The look on participants face when they first land in Butter and it’s not their usual Zoom/ Teams/ Meet 🥸 Instant attention grabber! Sounds really cool. Online workshops almost always are so boring and it’s easy to get distracted. If this platform keeps the participants engaged you may have truly built the better mouse trap.

Butter is a total game changer! The fun, vibrant interface puts participants in a great mood from the beginning to start your session off on the right foot. I spend a lot of time in coworking sessions and the YouTube integration has made our rooms feel more like the third spaces like coffee shops and libraries that many of us used to frequent but can't these days. So excited to see Butter fly high!
