@nichlaswa Absolutely, I imagine folks would want EPS, SVG and some of the traditional static formats like progressive JPEG Files and PNGs with transparency.
@justinotherjohnson yeah, that's what I'm thinking. It supports all those formats now, so I'll leave it at that while I improve other parts of the app. You'll get a notification about the update next time you launch the app :)
Todays changelog:
- Support for EPS files in logo section 🎉
- Drag and drop field now works for logo and typography sections
- Copy gradient colors by clicking the hex values
- esc hotkey for edit mode now works as expected
- bigger clickable area in brand list
- When adding new colors or gradients, it now longer matters if you do it with a # in front or not
- Made the start on login visible in dark mode 🕶🙈
And a lot of smaller improvements throughout the app!
This is really, really, really cool. 👍 I use another menubar color palette organizer but constantly have to bounce around through files to find logos and typefaces for all different clients and projects so this is a super helpful tool.
@thecontentcanvas That's fantastic! I would love to get your feedback once you've tested it. If you could message me/@ me on twitter that would be great. Also, regarding logos, I'm working on eps and pdf support, it got a bit delayed unfortunately - but you can upload SVG files for now if that works for you.
@thecontentcanvas Hi! just wanted to let you know that Brandy now supports eps uploads in the logo section! check it out :) the app will notify you about the update when you launch it.
It's cool and well-designed! A little advice is that at "Brands" screen, I can enter one of the brands only by clicking right on the name. It will be more intuitive if one can enter by clicking adjacent white space as well.
@mmarissahuang Thank you!! :) Yes, you're absolutely right, that makes way more sense. I will get it fixed asap. If you have any other feedback, feature requests or questions later on, feel free to DM or @ me on Twitter
I love this 😍 Would be helpful if I could maximize the window to make it easier to add new assets. Maybe not fullscreen, but to center it on my display.
The small window is a bit fidgety because my eyesighr isn't great. Still - awesome job!
@digitelle Thank you, Kay! Great feedback, it's on my roadmap :) You can move the window if you drag the title of the app, hopefully that can ease the pain a little bit.
Love this and hope when it leaves beta it becomes affordable, so many small apps like this charge extortionate monthly fees. well done on its elegance and usefulness!
One suggestion would be for nested fonts or folders for whole font families as when you have 10+ variations of a font it makes for a long list to scroll through.
thanks again
@bradclarkuk Great feedback! I like the idea of nested fonts for families or whatever the need might be for nesting. I'm not set on the pricing yet, but it will not be expensive 😉
Thanks for checking it out Brad!
@bradclarkuk@nichlaswa Please consider a free level of usage for the occasional designers like me. If you need some feature ideas, let me know... I swear I was going to build something like this but specific to WordPress or as a SaaS, so I have a bunch of notes (and I decided a while back I'm not actually going to build it anymore). Kudos!
Thanks, David! I will fix the window opening up automatically issue. I did some testing with drag and drop to file uploaders, and it works with jpg, png ++ here, but some file uploaders won't accept svg. What file type are you trying to drag and drop?
@marktmcewan Sorry. It's not clear enough, but the app is completely standalone. Figma is only used as an example to showcase the drag and drop functionality. I will improve the copy and visuals in the next version of the landing page.
@gencdoda yeah, I need to update a bunch of things in the app and database setup, and unfortunately I don't have the capacity to do so atm. I'm sorry about that.

I loved how fast I could set up the brand and share it with the team.
Pros:Fast, easy, looks great!
Cons:Not great on team management (yet)

I love single-purpose minimalistic apps like this!
However, I'm having some issues:
- When opening at login, it displays the main window.
- Can't drag and drop assets into "choose file" dialogs.
Unfortunately that last one is a deal breaker for me since I mostly use my assets in the browser :/
Pros:Simple, easy to use, handy.
Cons:Some UX considerations (see below).
