Honestly, I didn't know I needed Booqsi until I discovered it, and now it feels like the only way to read, track, discuss and share books online (full disclosure: I've been following/supporting Justin and Booqsi for a while now). I'm a pretty avid reader, but feel like I don't really talk much about the books I read - or sometimes even remember what I've read or if I liked it or not! It's a weird feeling looking at my bookshelves and vaguely recognizing the books, knowing I've read them all, but only having a vague recollection of each one. Goodreads has never worked for me as the experience is just horrible - it feels very 1990s and not engaging at all, so I just gave up on digitally tracking my books beyond my Kindle list. Enter Booqsi: my bookshelf now made digital. I can track what I'm reading, what I've read, track my thoughts and discuss with others, and easily recommend books to friends. It looks great, it works really well, and Justin & team are making it better every day. Hey everyone! 👋 After a lot of hard work, we're ready to unveil the first beta version of Booqsi to you all 🎉 I know reading books isn’t everyone’s thing, but it’s certainly been mine for as long as I can remember. Getting lost in a book has always been a way for me to find rest in an often-hurried world. Unfortunately, I felt like the online book space was missing a platform that does the book community justice. Goodreads is the go-to "social platform", but if you've been on Goodreads before, you'll probably agree that it's not all that social, and overall not all that exciting 😅 So I set out to build what I personally was looking for (but could never find). The goal: to give the book community a more social and streamlined alternative to Goodreads or StoryGraph. We also felt like it was important for Booqsi to be independent of Amazon; we care about supporting local bookstores, so every book in Booqsi links you to Bookshop.org to purchase that book (not Amazon). I have been loving Booqsi, I love tracking the books I’ve been reading and giving myself a goal for the year. It’s extremely satisfying clicking the finished reading button and seeing the tracker go up! It’s very user friendly and very intuitive. I can’t wait for all features to come!

Booqsi is a great way to have a book community to keep in touch with and easily recommend books to read. It is simple to keep your various bookshelves up to date, and it's fun to use.
