@ems_hodge Definitely!
Topics is our way of creating identity in an anonymous environment.
Users can post questions, polls, articles under a topic like SF Bay, Engineering, Design etc. and engage an anonymous professional community that follow that topic.
Let's say I'm looking to move to Seattle and want to shoot a question out to Amazon and Microsoft people. A post could look something like:
[Seattle] Sr. SDE thinking of leaving the Bay and going to Seattle but also looking to work for a smaller company. Thoughts?
@amazon@microsoft@engineer
Hope that helps. ;)
Hey @bramk π for the hunt.
For the longest time, Blind was exclusive to employees at big tech companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, Uber.
Topics, opens up our community to everybody interested in Tech. We hear "realtime Glassdoor" a lot since our users often benchmark their careers on Blind, but it's a lot more than that.
Have a question for a Google Engineer or an Apple Designer?
Tags your posts and we'll notify those users.
Moving to Seattle? Then mention Seattle and I'm sure some of our Amazon and Microsoft users will jump in to share some local knowledge.
We're piggybacking off some amazing engagement we've had this year. Topics brings us one step closer to bring transparency and honest conversations to the work place for everyone.
Thanks everyone,
Alex
