Hey PH! Great to be back here again! This time we're back with a product to create and manage your gmail signatures in a clean and intuitive design.
We've built Blade because we had an issue with gmail only allowing us a single signature at a time, but often times we have reason to have not just one but multiple signatures that we'd like to switch between. Thus, Blade was born. When you open gmail for the first time there will be a walkthrough to show you how to get to your signatures and manage.
From there it's a quick 60 seconds before you're up and running with your new hand-crafted (with code) signature.
Hope you enjoy!
Question: how do you plan to add to your value proposition as more people move to Inbox, which has the ability to switch between signatures easily and for free?
@xtoq We'd like to break into other browsers, along with other email providers, but currently have no plans to do so. Our main focus right now is to improve reliability in Chrome before we expand to other browsers.
@gavindinubilo Thanks for the response! Could you also answer how you plan to add more value to your product, since there is the option for all users to utilize Inbox to achieve the same functionality at a lower price point? Maybe a peek into version 2.0? Thanks in advance!
Hey, nice implementation with the extension. I did give it a try! However, I would have definitely used it if there were:
1. Free signatures that were not just simple Heading / Subheading (Would be great if there was something that wasn't easily creatable).
2. More trials/combinations of signatures before actually proposing customer
Nonetheless, I do see it becoming a good product as more variations come on board! So, off to recommendation button.
@tanishqsh96 Hey! Like Gavin said, appreciate the feedback.
We are excited to create more signatures as we move forward, but great to hear and validate the interest!
YO PH! We're super pumped to be launching today :) Since creating Templates for Gmail https://www.producthunt.com/post... (nearly 4k users!) , we've been excited by the email productivity space.
Blade is the all-in-one solution that can help you go from zero to beautiful email signature in less than 60 seconds. Whether you want signatures for your whole marketing team or are looking for a way to bolster your brand, you can use Blade to create a professional gmail signature!
Thanks for the support!
Nice looking site/extension at all, but doesn't do much more than creating a signature on a site like HTMLsig and then adding it to an email's signature on Google's settings. Does it do anything I'm missing?
Work Needed on these areas:
1.Needs more free signatures(or maybe a 1-month trial?).
2.More Importantly, the Gmail Service is clipping off the signature.
I wont pay 3$ a month when my signature is being clipped off!
I want to like this - I really, REALLY do - and I want to tell people about it, but there's a few things stopping me:
(1) I'd like to know where you're saving the data I've filled out - I want you to explicitly tell me, up front, at the moment it doesn't tell me where and how you're saving that information, for all I know you're parsing it and adding it to a marketing database you're going to sell (I'd like to think you're not doing that...)
(2) I know they're paid, but when I click on a locked signature, I'd like to see it in the edit window with the details I've added so I can see what it looks like before I pay for it - not the itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny up in the corner of the screen (I'm running at 4K resolution) "preview"
(3) When I edit the signature I just created, I'd actually like to be able to edit it, not be presented with a blank template again...that's happened twice now.
(4) If I don't include some information that's in the template (e.g. company or position) how about not including that in the preview after I save it?
(5) When I upload a picture, and you're trying to squeeze it in to a circle, I'd like to be able to move the picture to get the bit *I* want in the circle please
(6) If I add the "extra" information, like Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., how do I add them in the template?
(7) How about when I add a URL in something like website, I have the option of either displaying the URL itself, or hyperlinked text?
Nice idea but sorry I uninstalled. Here are the reasons:
1. I could not add a GIF image into the signature => not a too big problem though.
2. I like the idea switching between different signatures but I did not get a chance to try it before getting charged for it. It's your USP too, I think you should let your users see the value in it before charging for that. The price is not high but just thinking of paying monthly billed annually for something I even did not know if it worked just feels like a high commitment for me. I did not get to see a video demo too see how this switching would work either. => a big problem.
3. I wished there were more outstanding templates than just some common ones. Like artistic fonts for the artists or geeky fonts for the geeks. => not a too big problem for me.
Thanks for a good idea though. Keep up the good work! :)
This is cool but I'm not sure how do I copy & use the signature which I just created. I have reloaded my Gmail mailbox but can't see anything. Can you please help?
@john_gardiner Google puts that because we have a background script running to speak with chrome storage from inside of Gmail. I can 100% assure you we aren’t tracking your browsing history.
