Use a hotkey to open a floating ChatGPT panel anytime you need it, anywhere on your Mac. Designed for productivity. All features are available in "one-click." ✨
Hello Everyone! 👋
Whenever I needed to use ChatGPT, it felt slow. It always was the same process: leave my work, open a browser window, sign in, explain the context, copy/paste some texts or prompts, replace placeholders, etc.
I needed something faster and with a better UI. No context switching, no login, and no unnecessary distractions.
So, I decided to build Beam to scratch my itch and a few weeks later, I'm launching the first version for a pre-sale (https://getbeam.ai).
My goal with Beam is to provide better and faster ways to use ChatGPT for Mac users.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! And thank you so much for being here ♥️
@alex_streza Thank you so much Alex 🙏
And yeah, it's a bit unfortunate that it's macOS only, but I was a bit scared to go multi-platform because this is a little bit of an unusual project type.
As a user of create-tw (A cli tool developed by Andrej), I can definitely vouch for Beam, as Andrej is one of the best React devs and a fantastic creator whether it is content or products.
I have seen how he has spent so much time building it in public. It is going to be an excellent product.
Congratulations on the Launch 🎉 and All the best 🌟.
Love this! Would love to use it but in the video it didn't actually show how to sort an array. Is this a limitation of gpt3.5 and will work in gpt4 etc? or what happened?
@eonpilot Hehe, sorry for the confusion! We have a shortcut (CMD+D), to stop the assistant from typing. I just stopped it right there. There's no limitation.
The user interface (UI) is truly exceptional, and I must say, it is incredibly impressive. I particularly love the idea behind the product. It has the potential to revolutionize our workflow by eliminating the repetitive process of opening a new tab, and signing in. This efficient approach will undoubtedly save us a significant amount of time and make us more productive in our daily tasks. Thanks for making such an awesome Product @andrej_jurkin
Interesting. Giving it a go as I'm using ChatGPT a lot lately to help me learning quantum computing tools, and finding it tricky to get to the browser a lot.
I've used Beem, and I have to say that it's a fantastic product. As a developer, it saves me a significant amount of time, and the floating window feature is both enjoyable and user-friendly.
Congratulations @andrej_jurkin on the product lunch.
