Couldn't be more excited to unveil Alma to all of you today with Rami!
If you know me, you know I'm health and fitness fiend. For years, I've tried every food tracking and nutrition app under the sun. They all always left me feeling like I was doing a lot of work, for very little insight in return. Oh, and did I mention they were all totally unenjoyable to use?
That's why we created Alma. We wanted to create an app where you could track meals, but then go beyond that to actually help you learn from what you eat, and discover new foods to help you reach your goals. Whether you're fitness-minded and trying to gain or lose weight, or just want a pulse on how well you've been eating lately, we made Alma for you.

How does it connect/integrate with other health apps like Apple Health, Oura, or Peloton, etc?

Right now we use your Apple Health data in a few ways:
- When you onboard, we use it to create your profile and set your recommended activity level
- When you workout (whether logged through Apple, or another app connected to Health like Strava or Peloton) we use that workout data to modify your calorie and macro goals on the fly to account for your burn. This is something you can also disable if you don't prefer it!
Have been using Alma for the past couple months, on top of being delightful to use it is incredible how quickly and accurately I can log my food and meet my diet goals.
I have personally recommended food logging to both "I just cant seem to lose weight" and "I just have a fast metabolism, bro" people. In both cases, they find that good ol' calories in / calories out works!
