We all know chatbots fail constantly. The reason is insufficient training.
With Activechat's No Code Intent Trainer, you’ll be creating robust natural language bots that speak your customers’ language and feel 100% natural — all in a click of a mouse.

Great Product! Love to see how it develops. How can the PH community help you guys? What are your main challenges at this point?
Andrew Ganin
@pecherskyy Thanks Max! We need feedback and case studies, so if you know someone who is ready to give automated customer care a try, I'd be happy to do a demo.

Hey Product Hunt, I’m Andrew, founder of Activechat, and I’m thrilled to present what we’ve been building recently, our No Code Intent Trainer for chatbots 🤖 and virtual assistants 🙋‍♀️ TL;DR Backed by 500 Startups, we’re setting up the next evolution of automated customer care - with bots that learn your customers’ language automatically, and human agents that rely on GPT-3 to find the right words for every customer. With Activechat, your AI-powered virtual agent is up and running in minutes. Just copy in existing conversations with customers, instantly group them into topics, and automate responses with the click of a mouse. Product Hunt deal - 90% OFF for 12 months. Read below for details. Backstory It always struck me as odd that, in the world full of amazing chatbot platforms and really cool tech like GPT-3, most actual chatbot experiences are… well, below average. We, humans, created amazing technology to build chatbots but failed to add ways to teach them how to improve. So, how do you train a bot to give your customer the correct answer? 🔢 Button-controlled bots are quite robust but extremely limited and boring to use. Who loves IVRs in 2020? 🔑 Keyword-based bots are prone to error and time-consuming to build and manage. 💬 Pure natural language tools like Dialogflow are cool but require a substantial tech background to use in real business cases. Our solution Activechat combines the best in each of these domains. Advanced NLP tech helps understand the actual intent behind the customer’s message and triggers one of the pre-defined skills to handle this intent or escalate the conversation to a human. And when the bot fails (believe me, they will!), it takes just a mouse click to improve it by adding a new utterance or changing the skill on the fly. One of our early users, a retail shop from Italy, managed to double their sales in the very first month of utilizing Activechat, all through better sales conversations done automatically. And just a week of training cuts the error rate for an average chatbot by 60% and more, depending on the domain! Features Activechat is a complete customer service solution with: ℹ️ Intents - to help you build natural language bots by describing what your customers could say 🧠 Insights - to remove guessing from the previous step and group actual customers’ phrases into topics instantly 🏗 Builder - to build sophisticated automation scenarios to respond to each of the customers’ intents 💁‍♀️ Live chat - to handle situations where automation is not available (yet) 💡 GPT-3 hints - to help agents find the right words for every customer in any situation Product Hunt Deal Our customers tell us they can build things 10x faster and 10x more flexible with Activechat than with any other conversational tool. I really hope you’ll find our new features valuable, so we’re offering a nice 90% discount for your first year with Activechat. Just follow this link, choose your plan and purchase a one-time coupon. When applied in the platform, it will unlock the 12-month access to the chosen plan (“Team” or “Company”). The amount of coupons is limited to first 100 orders, and we do not limit the time when these coupons can be applied. Thoughts? Please let me know what you think about Intents and Insights. We love feedback, and we’re working hard to build the ultimate customer service automation tool, so your opinion really matters!
Max Prilutskiy
Launching soon!
Big fan of GPT-3! Good luck with the product 🔥 P.S. How did you manage to get access? :)
Iryna Ponomariova
@prilutskiy Thanks, Max! Let us know what you think of it if you'd come to try! And as for GPT-3, I'd say, the OpenAI's team just saw the potential in our ideas, and we're proud to put our hand to it ☺
Andrew Ganin
@prilutskiy LinkedIn contacts do wonders! 😁

I bought their lifetime deal from AppSumo. As an early adopter of the platform, I believe I can provide a little insight here that will save fellow hunters needless aggravation. ActiveChat is hands down, one of my worst investments, ever. After their lifetime deal ended, they dragged their feet for years without ANY significant improvements to the platform. They've only recently started adding a few features that they've been promising since the beginning of 2019. As soon as they started adding these promised features, they came back to their early backers from AppSumo wanting even more money (for updates/features that they had, in writing, already promised would be included for early adopters at no cost). Your mileage may vary but in my experience slow and complicated platform where they don't keep the promises they make.
Andrew Ganin
@essn Hi Essn Ma, I was waiting for you to come 👋 Thanks for the review, but I believe it's a bit biased, since even in the lifetime deals community you seem to be the only person who is not happy with Activechat. You primary concern is the number of live chat seats (and this was the ONLY paid upgrade that we offered to LTD holders), but again - 10 live chat seats was never part of the original Appsumo deal, since we've been offering a bot platform, not a live chat tool then. Every other feature (and many more), including the recent Intents add-on, is available for LTD owners for free. Half of our FB community is LTD owners, and they seem to be pretty happy with AC.
Essn
@andrewac Obviously if you delete dissenting opinion (and block paying customers) from your own community and ignore 100's of negative comments you got in other communities, I am the only one. Here is a few comments from other users that I'd like to share so anyone looking at this from the outside can make an informed, educated decision about the kind of company they'd be dealing with.
Andrew Ganin
@essn I'm not talking about our own community (LTD talk is against its rules, as you know, and that's the reason for banning these users). But if you go to LTDF or any other independent group on Facebook and ask what they think of Activechat, most LTD owners will be happy. You're welcome to do an experiment though.
Essn
@andrewac The screenshots shared above are from Martech Wise (an independent group on Facebook). Also there are TONNES of comments in your own group discussing and/or mentioning your lifetime deal. The only comments that were deleted (and paying customers banned) were the ones that were critical of how lifetime customers are being abused. I've shared what I think was necessary to guide the community here in the right direction. I implore anyone looking at this to do their own research. There are many better options with exceptionally better customer support and long term prospects.
Iryna Ponomariova
@omit Timo, thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm so glad to know that you are satisfied and happy with the product! Lots of love from the whole team ~ 💛
B.Selmani
Just started testing it, and seems it is simplier and gets it job done faster than Dialogflow. It has more room to improve, but I believe this could be the best natural training tool for chatbots.
Andrew Ganin
@mbreti3gut1 Thanks! Most of the natural language tools are quite similar, but we've been focusing on how the power of NLP can be combined easily with the simplicity of decision trees and multichannel integrations. It's not about detecting the intent, it's about bringing the real value to the end user.
Jason Lavis
Well done Andrew and team. I've been watching your engaging and incredible journey over the past couple of years. I respected your transparency and vulnerability in your earlier challenges before they were overcome. Then you're also very open and humble in success. Keep up the great work.
Andrew Ganin
@jason_lavis Thanks Jason! Did you try new features already? What do you think about it?
Jason Lavis
@jason_lavis @andrewac I didn't get chance yet. I'm extremely busy with one particularly challenging project that doesn't involve a chatbot, although thats in the development calendar for 2021. I keep checking in on my current bots, and the platform improvements in general though.
Andrew Ganin
@jason_lavis @andrewac cool. Best luck with that, and thanks for the support!
Ishan Bansal
My team actually got introduced to the world of Bots when we got ActiveChat. It's a powerful platform. There have been improvements in the platform over time, but yes there is scope of improvement in terms of managing and treating initial backers. But in terms of product itself, Activechat is solid.
Andrew Ganin
@ishanbansal Thanks Ishan! We've always tried to treat LTD holders nice. 🥰
Irakli Beselidze
I'm in the business for over 3 years and following all the tools that help build conversational experiences. Not a user of Activechat yet, because we focus on conversational funnels powered by AI rather than customer service assistants, but GPT-3 integration seems to be a bold experiment. And I wish all the best with experimenting and innovation that Activechat brings to the market.
Andrew Ganin
@irakli_beselidze Thanks! Yep, it's bold, and we're hesitant to release GPT-3 in the wild without human supervision, so we've did it as live chat hints first. Once we get some data on how it behaves unsupervised, we'll be rolling out the feature to automated conversations too.
Omar Mercado
Easy to use and very capable bot building platform, just like another person said on here “If you can dream, you can build it”. It’s that good. The live chat function is the cherry on top.
Iryna Ponomariova
@omar_mercado 💙 Omar, thank you! We love it so much that you have had a great experience with the platform, and we absolutely LOVE to have you with us!
Andrew Ganin
@omar_mercado Thanks! Did you try Intents and Insights already? What do you think of it?
Danny Rios
This software rocks! I bought it early on and they are still adding features that make me money. I wrote a much longer review, but it didn't save. I made money on this platform since day one. I was able to get multiple one on one support and help from the founder, just because he wanted to see my success. Solid platform, better people. Thanks for all the help!
Iryna Ponomariova
@danny_rios1 Danny, thank you so much! Such a pleasure to hear your opinion 🥰 Ping me some time later, when you'll play around with the new features. I'd love to know what you think of them!
Andrew Ganin
@danny_rios1 Thanks Danny! Good luck with our new features too ;)
Max Bissolati
Well done Andrew and the team. I've been an ActiveChat supporter from day 1 and this feature is so exciting, I definitely can't wait to use it and possibly replace Dialogflow. Well done guys
Andrew Ganin
@maxbissolati Thanks Max! If there's anything you could suggest to improve, just let us know!
Hirman Razali
As a chatbot master, i built a lot of chatbots and have used multiple chatbot platform before settling with Activechat. Every platform have their own strength and weaknesses. AC major strength is it flexibility to built almost any kind of chatbots that you can imagine. Plus the live chat support and the latest intent & insight features make it more advance and give more option to users in bot building Being heavily depending in AI and sometimes requires human take over, AC made it easy for me to built it all in one single platform. AC is considered still new in the market, but has a lot of potential moving forward. Still got plenty or room for improvement and i beleive they are working to fill the gaps and make AC more flexible. It is like a lego block, imagine it, built it 🤩
Andrew Ganin
@hirman_razali Hey Hirman, thanks for the honest review! There's definitely a lot of room to improve, and we're working on it. Our ultimate goal is to put the power of conversational AI into the hands of customer service leaders all over the world. We do this so that customer service teams could harness the power of machine learning to solve their day-to-day tasks and improve their routines.
Cathal McNamara
As an appsumo ltd user I am very happy with how the product has developed. Continuous updates and the latest features really make them a serious offering. There might be the odd comment from unhappy users who expected the sun moon and stars for a one time fee. But the fact is, the platform has developed, you get what you paid for. And I'd say the majority of promises have been kept and exceeded. I'm not a heavy user of the product. I bought it before I had a client for it. But I'm happy how Andrew and his team have and continue to take it forward. Best of luck!
Andrew Ganin
@cathal_mcnamara Thanks Cathal! It's great to have support from our early adopters, and we'll keep respecting our agreements in the future.
Ihor Shevkoplias
Sounds really cool 🔥
Andrew Ganin
@igorua Thanks, agreed 100%. We've built this as a response to our own problem, and I believe this could really help other companies working on support automation / self-service.
Iryna Ponomariova
@igorua Hey, Ihor! Thank you for your comm! You should most definitely try the platform out, I think you'll love it!
Paul Nica
I'm excited to try this out, great work!
Andrew Ganin
@paul_nica Thanks! Please share your feedback once you do!
