✅ POLL: Do you buy the domain first or build the product first?
... settle this once and for all. Do you spend 3 hours trying to find a clever .com before writing a single line of code? Or do you ship the MVP and slap on whatever domain wasn t taken at the time? Cast your vote and tell us why. Bonus points if you ve ever changed your product idea because the domain wasn t available. Comment from Hussain Attari(@hussain_attari): Build the product first domain name ideas will prop ... ... head while i code. Comment from Victoria Wu(@victoria_wu): Everyone says they build the product first but let s be real most of us have emotionally committed to a domain name before we even open VS

Coding with an AI IDE (visual) vs AI CLI (Terminal), what's better?
... product teams that focus on the agent loop, tool calling, management of context and subagents can move faster and I think that's why Claude Code and Amp have the edge right now with Gemini-CLI also catching up. VS Code forks start with a huge surface area that comes with all kinds of scope creep challenges. This helped Cursor et al to get started and onboard users fast because the user experience is largely backwards compatibility. It meets people ... ... like overtime we'll see an IDE the same way the latest crop of coders views vim or emacs, so I'm very in favor of moving away from an IDE despite using one myself! What tools are you using and what is frustrating you?
... Hello everyone, Sumit here from the Himalayas. I hope everyone is having a relaxed weekend. My workflow with vibe coding has settled pretty well as I get more and more time out of desk while Claude Code builds the software. I wanted to offer any assistance to fellow founders. I have been vibe coding full-time for a little over 4 weeks. Wrote about it here . Please share your tools, or workflow and in particular what is not working ... ... brainless  Thanks Sumit! Actually, I m a non-technical founder. I taught myself WordPress, but when I started using Cursor just a few months ago, I had no clue about TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, CLI, or even how VS

Developers, Would You Pay for This? AI-Generated GitHub READMEs!
... edit, and manage GitHub README files effortlessly. AI-powered README creation Customizable templates for better project presentation Real-time Markdown editing I built this because writing a perfect README is time-consuming, and most developers either skip it or settle for something basic. ReadSpark makes it easy and efficient! Is this a good idea? Would love to hear your thoughts on scalability ! Can this be something developers and teams would pay for? Can you be my first customer ...

Bolt vs Lovable, which do you prefer?
... stubborn error. I've also looked into @Lovable and it seems pretty cool but wanted to see what people had to say about it. Is there any reason to pick one over the other and which one have you settled on? Comment from Ajay Sahoo(@ajay27324): Used Bolt for speedy and better control over codes whereas Lovable used for Git integration (collaborative team environment) Comment from Gabe Perez(@gabe): I honestly can't pick. I've found myself go back ...

What have you learned about pricing?
... into this community's experience on price-setting for B2C software (ours helps job seekers). The long story short is we ve been leaning towards entering a fairly established market at significantly lower pricing (like ~4-5x) than competitors. The thesis is this will help us A) attract users in general, and B) drive better unit economics by focusing more on capturing paid users and not focusing (much?) on total user acquisition (paid + free). Here are my primary ... ... cheapen product perception before users even give it a chance. How have you decided how much to give away for free if you do run free accounts ? Ideally I think we d lean into a trial-only model, but competitors

What do you do when you suddenly come up with a great idea?
... there are usually four steps: 1. Record it immediately: I typically jot it down in Apple Notes, either using voice or text. 2. Sleep on it: let the idea settle overnight. 3. Reassess in the morning: If it still seems like a great idea, I'll discuss it with trusted friends. 4. Take action or prioritize: Either put it into practice or add it to my to-do list. What about you? Comment from TJ Larkin (@tjlarkin): Scribble ...

What tools do you recommend to analyze user data?
... Running a PostgreSQL DB setup for Recapit, have tried Tableau, Power BI and have now settled with Quicksight since it's on AWS. It's good but feels overcomplex and expensive for the type of data I need to be tracking right now which is rather simple. What tools do you use or recommend to analyze DAU, revenue, retention ...

You have identified a need, how do you get your first 100 paying customers?
... know that need? Have you spoken with at least 10 of them? Have you asked those customers to pay your software based on your clickable prototype (Figma is your friend here)? Asking for money on a prototype helps settle the debate and we go from that's a great idea to well I wouldn't actually pay for that because of X. So talk to customers and get them to buy before coding anything. You would be amazed ...
