Is payment currency a big deal?

Hi. I'm working on an app to gather and analyse Net Promoter Score for websites. This will be my first micro-SaaS. I'm based in South Africa and Stripe is not available here. I'm using Payfast as a payment processor, but they only support SA Rand as a payment currency. If the purchaser is not in SA, their bank will do the currency conversion, so it shouldn't be an issue. I'm just curious to know if pricing indicated in any currency other than a major currency would influence the decision to purchase, especially since certain African countries do not have the best reputation when it comes to financial matters.
