Introducing myself and asking some questions

Hi PH fam!
I'm Avhijit , a software engineer by profession. I'm also the founder of a greentech startup called HydroPlas Tech that's researching on producing graphene from waste plastic.

I like to dabble my feet across different domains, ranging from software to electro-mechanical systems.
Recently I've been participating in a couple of hackathons. As a result I've created 2 SaaS products which I'll be launching on PH sometime early next year.
I'm really exited to be on this platform and more than the prospects of launching SaaS products, it's the amazing and supportive community here that captured my attention to join PH. I would love to make many great connections here, so please feel free to reach out to me🙌
Now comin to the question part, to the people who have considerable experience being on PH and in SaaS development, what are some of the learnings that you can impart to a noobie like myself who's just starting out in this domain? What are some strategies to evaluate whether an idea is still worth pursuing or to drop and move on to the next one? How to not over focus on tech but also divide attention to marketing?
Thanks, looking forward to make great connections along the way😄

hey avhijit, i’m adnan.
i think you’re on the right track. check if there is an existing market for it. do proper market research. ask people if they would use your product if something like that existed. also, you can use ai tools like chatgpt, gemini and perplexity for validating your idea or for further market research.
tech and marketing goes hand in hand to be honest. good tech without proper marketing is a waste. bad tech with good marketing gets you eyeballs, but users will jump ships really quickly if they don’t like what they’re seeing/using.
good luck on your journey!

Welcome Adnan! Sounds like you're on the right track with the market research and validation. Definitely leverage AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc. to help refine your product idea and positioning. You're spot on that good tech needs good marketing to succeed. Validate there's real demand first, then focus on building something people want. With the right combination of solid tech and strategic marketing, you'll be well positioned. Wishing you all the best on your entrepreneurial journey!
