How about an unapologetic shill of your own Product Hunt launches?

Here’s a question: Why shouldn't you go all-in on promoting your Product Hunt launches? 😜 There seems like this strange unwritten rule where you’re supposed to be coy about plugging your products or projects. But let's be real here – you're proud of your hard work, and your Product Hunt launch is a major milestone! 🎉 So why not share it? Here’s where it gets fun: instead of apologizing for promoting your creation, let’s get behind the idea of unapologetic self-promotion. Own it! Own every part of it – from the hard work that went into creating your product to the blood, sweat, and tears of putting it out on Product Hunt. We all know that after the launch, you'll want to shout it from the rooftops, so why not start now? 🚨 I’d love to hear: what are the things you’re most excited about from your launch or even those launches you love so much? 👇 Drop your best self-promotion stories or let's hear about your biggest wins (no shame here, let’s hype each other up!) ✨

Alright, I'll go first. In addition to the products I've launched and the ones I'm about to introduce on the platform, I'm genuinely impressed with @Agentplace, @Linear and @Resend, what do you say? @heyric @paxton_adonis @busmark_w_nika

I think it's a bit risky. Sure, promoting your own launch can bring attention, but if it feels too pushy or inauthentic, people might get turned off. It’s better to focus on adding value to discussions and letting others discover your product organically. Building genuine interest is more effective in the long run.

@kodoroha1973 I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that there’s a balance between promoting and staying authentic. 🚦 The key is how you promote—it’s about sharing the story behind your product or the problem it solves, rather than just saying, “Check this out.” If you have a brag sheet, it can help—highlight a few wins, like “We’ve already helped X users save Y hours,” to let results speak for themselves. This is the challenger brand mentality. When done right, it’s about building connections and trust (authenticity), not just getting clicks.

Totally agree—there’s no shame in celebrating your hard work! When I was prepping for my last launch, I was so nervous about sharing it with everyone. But once I put it out there and saw people engaging with it, the excitement completely outweighed the nerves. My last PH launch, I decided to go all-in and unapologetically share it everywhere. I reached out to communities, asked friends for feedback, and even DM’d people I admired for support. It felt a bit scary at first, but the response was incredible—it reminded me why we should be proud of our work. 🚀
