Using tests to offer recommendation features depends on the product. It might be suitable for information-based or large e-commerce products, but for products from small companies, it's not really necessary. Implementing recommendations in the later stages of the product is also fine.

Totally, quizzes are a must for ecommerce these days. We use a Typeform quiz to learn about customer style preferences and sizes, then feed that data into our recommendation engine to personalize product suggestions in emails and on-site. Seeing a big boost in AOV and repeat purchases. Highly recommend giving quizzes a try if you haven't yet!
Quizzes are great for gaining customer insights and providing personalized recommendations! We've been using Typeform quizzes to segment our audience and tailor product suggestions in email campaigns. Seeing a nice conversion boost so far. Highly recommend giving quizzes a try for engaging customers and driving more sales.
I think since everyone likes "personalized" recommendations thesedays, quizzes or simple tests are a great marketing strategy to drive conversion and gain overall engagement. They can also help the brand gain insights about their audiences too, which might help you understand your target audiences well :)
Yes! I absolutely love using quizzes, both for fun and for personalized recommendations. I spend a lot of time on sites like BuzzFeed and QuizExpo—they have such a variety of quizzes that make discovering products or even just learning something new super engaging. I’ve noticed that personality quizzes or “Which product suits you best?” types really catch my attention and make me more likely to check out recommendations. It feels less like marketing and more like a fun, interactive experience. Definitely a smart way to boost engagement!
