First, the website takes a while to load as it is over 5MB of data, making the first screen or few seconds without the DOM actually being painted. Second, there is no choice of platforms other than iOS and Android, leaving other major markets such as the Web behind. Third, the price evaluation is way too overpriced, thus, this is only feasible for major companies and not start-ups. Fourth, during the first try, a bug occurred which completely threw me off and I had to start from the beginning. The final and really obvious is the fact that I have to submit my email address to get anything beneficial from the site. This makes me think that the product owner simply wants to fetch user emails.
The product doesn't seem to have been tested (eg: several typos, missing a 'none' button that should be available).
Moreover, it feels fishy that my email address is required at the end, in order for me to see the result. I'm not giving that info so easily, and I would have appreciated that it would have been clear from the start that my email address was needed.
wrote a story recently on medium about pricing if it too cheap and too good to be true the project will never get completed Q - how many apps did you use to build your machine learning model ? just curious .
good luck - there a real need for such a product
I ran a few calculations to see how close the costs were to the prices my customers paid in the past for app development. It's pretty spot on. Once you think about all the changes the client will make, infrastructure and testing -- it's very justified.
In my experience, most calculators and devshops will quote you WAY below the actual cost of the app, and the project will run over budget. I think that from a development point of view (feature-oriented) it becomes much clearer what the cost is going to be, and this calculator does a great job on focusing on those signals to quote you.
Only downside for me is, there's no timeline estimate -- so I guess that's more of a feature request! I'd love to see a breakdown of time estimates if this data is available as timeline is just as important as budget for me.
saw it last night trending on hacker news - tried super fast and to the point
Highly useful application, best for starting any business or application idea. Prices are almost matching with the real world scenario. design is at its best.
I dont really understand how this website should help anyone in estimating the development costs of an app, you cannot do that by filling out a simple form.
Why would a User System cost 12k to develop? I can integrate a user system in an app for less than 12k lmao
This application gives me a lot of options to choose from, based on my views on how to build my next application, Very useful to understand and plan an investment through this app. appreciate the work, well done !
I thought about this application so many times when i have to build an application of my own, but now I need not to worry, I can just use this application to understand the financial lines. Thank you for this application !
