Super stoked for this launch. I'm a huge Raycast fan (check out what's in my Raycast!) and have been on the Raycast for iOS TestFlight from the jump. (Don't miss my Product Hunt for Raycast launch!)

Now that's it's out, you can access the Raycast experience on mobile, including:

  • 💬 Chat with dozens of AI models for perfect answers on any task

  • 📚 Capture and organize thoughts so brilliant ideas never slip away

  • 🔗 Access your Quicklinks instantly for important resources on the go

  • 📝 Use your code snippets and templates to maintain productivity anywhere

  • ☁️ Sync seamlessly across all your Apple devices with zero friction

Here's a walkthrough to give you an idea what it looks like in practice:

Jordan Amblin

Hi Product Hunt! I’m Jordan, designer behind Raycast for iOS 👋.

Today we’re so excited to finally take a step beyond the desktop with the release of Raycast for iOS 🚀. Bringing your AI Chats, Notes and more with you on the go.

This journey has been equal parts fun and challenging, from figuring out what it even means to bring Raycast to iOS, to crafting all the tiny details along the way. And with that, a huge thanks goes to @johan_thorell , @giedre_blekaite and @petr_nikolaev for all their hard work in building, rebuilding (yes we built 3 versions) and refining the app over the past year 💪🏻.

To celebrate the launch, we’re offering 30% off with code IOS-30 during checkout on raycast.com until May 7th to get 30% off monthly or yearly subscriptions.

*It can be redeemed only on the web, not Apple’s App Store, and only applies to new subscriptions.

So let’s meet Raycast for iOS 🥁

Raycast for iOS brings the essentials from your Mac straight to your phone

  • AI Chat with dozens of models (OpenAI, Perplexity, Claude and more)

  • Notes to capture ideas the moment they strike

  • Quicklinks for one-tap access to your key resources

  • Snippets and templates to keep shipping wherever you are

Your home away from home

The Home screen is designed for speed and allows customization to match your workflow:

  • Favorites: Pin your most-used Quicklinks, Snippets, AI Chat Presets, and more

  • Search: Pull down to search the entire app

  • AI: Jump straight in by typing or holding the voice button

System Integration

Raycast features extend well beyond the app itself. We’ve made sure you can customise and access Raycast from every corner of iOS:

  • Shortcuts: Create advanced workflows by using actions like Ask AI, AI Command, New Note, Open Camera, etc.

  • Action Button: Assign Ask AI or Voice to the action button

  • Widgets: Get quick access to AI from your lock screen, or your favorites list on your Home Screen

  • Controls: Setup control center with your frequent actions

iPhone ←> Mac ←> iPad

Thanks to Cloud Sync, you can take your Raycast content with you, anywhere, on all your Apple devices.

*Cloud Sync requires an active Pro Plan subscription.

This is just the beginning of our mobile journey. We're excited to bring more Mac features to iOS, and explore new capabilities just for mobile context. Expect a custom keyboard and other things to come in the future.

Thanks for checking out Raycast for iOS.

@jordanamblin huge kudos to you. I don't even have an iPhone, but from the "unboxing" demo video Pavel did, I can tell there was a lot of thought and detail that went into it. (Saying this as a fellow designer myself). 🫶 Can't wait to see an Android version!

I love this! Not long ago, I decided I wanted to start using Raycast and actually asked for some tips that were super helpful. Once I had some good use cases, I was sold. Raycast has now become an essential part of my workflow, and I find myself using it more and more.

When I saw this was available, it was an immediate download for me. It even got a coveted spot on my home screen. Apple Notes got kicked out now that I can have my Raycast Notes with me at all times.

I think the best thing I can say from using it so far is that it just really feels like I'm getting the real deal Raycast experience on my phone. It felt completely natural to start using it on the go.

Between using Raycast more and more on my Mac and now beginning to use it on mobile, I am getting dangerously close to becoming a super fan haha. I preemptively apologize to my team mates who will likely have to endure me trying to get them to start using Raycast now.

@jakecrump It's amazing to hear that it felt completely natural for you to start using it on the go, so hopefully we managed to get you as a super fan 😉

Jordan Amblin

@jakecrump Cheers Jake! "felt completely natural to start" is music to my ears. We all said "this feels like raycast" when we finally landed on this version.

Vladislav Volkhonskii

@jakecrump same here. I want to sign under every word. Exactly the same story :)

Edward Pollitt
@jakecrump Mate I’m heaps with you on this one. In my case it kicked *Shortcuts* off my Home Screen — I believe that says a lot. I was instantly struck by how authentic it felt; there’s just this whole “genuine Raycast” vibe about it 🥰

Did Raycast just get sherlocked?

@Apple just announced the new macOS Tahoe 26, which included the "biggest Spotlight update ever." From the outside, it feels like they essentially built Raycast into Spotlight.

Raycast's CEO, @thomaspaulmann reacted in a long-form X post. This quote really struck me:

While Apple catches up to 2019 Raycast, we're already shipping 2025 Raycast.

Raycast for iOS is out today 📱

Just saw this announced on X! Here's a longer demo video:

Raycast announces support for Model Context Protocol (MCP)

This is slick! Read the announcement and get the registry extension.

Model Context Protocol or MCP is an open protocol that standardizes how applications provide context to LLMs. Raycast is a client that can connect to servers. Servers can be local data sources such as the file system or remote services such as external APIs.

Even though Raycast didn't directly help me code Modoki, it's been absolutely essential for my productivity workflow: shortcuts, snippets, Raycast Focus: I rely on it daily. I genuinely can't imagine using my Mac without Raycast anymore.

I love Raycast. I use command palettes on most apps, so having a more powerful one than the traditional Spotlight is great. I really appreciate the speed at which the team is moving, too. I always see new releases which are exciting.

I've been using Raycast as my MacOS launcher for years now, and it's become an integral part of my setup. I have written two custom extensions for my personal use cases, and the developer API is absolutely incredible and easy to use — and the community is super helpful! 11/10 would not use anything else ever again 👏

This is like a modern Alfred meets the Apple App store. Easy to use with onboarding that encourages a good setup while you learn. The best part is the Store with lots of community actions connecting to all things new.
