Lifetime deal owners are being forced to buy a monthly plan or their accounts will be deactivated. Not a trustworthy company.

THis is such a great platform!! It's super easy and super useful. We use it to get bank notices and create external notifications to our messaging systems, amongst other things. Highly recommend this to anyone that needs to organize email data into workflows!
The cherry on top is the highly engaged team behind it!

The "Lifetime" Deal That Didn't Last a Lifetime 🕐💔
TL;DR: Bought a "Lifetime Deal" for Parsio in 2022. In 2025, they decided "lifetime" means 1-3.5 years. Now pushing paid subscriptions. Proceed with caution, fellow hunters! 🚨
Hey Product Hunt fam! 👋 Dropping in with a heads-up about my experience with Parsio. As we all know, lifetime deals can be game-changers for bootstrappers and startups, but this one didn't play out as expected.
The Good (while it lasted):
✅ Solid parsing functionality
✅ Worked as advertised for about 3 years
The Not-So-Good:
❌ "Lifetime" apparently means 1-3.5 years
❌ Sudden plan obsolescence announcement
❌ Account access issues (still unresolved)
❌ Pushed to migrate to a paid plan or feature-limited free tier
❌ Support feels more like a chatbot than a human (and not a good one)
The Plot Twist:
In Feb 2025, Parsio dropped the bombshell that our "lifetime" plans were becoming obsolete. No prior heads-up, no grandfathering, just a "migrate or downgrade" ultimatum. 😕
Support Saga:
• Me: "I can't log in."
• Parsio: "Use forgot password."
• Me: "Still can't log in."
• Parsio: "Create a new account."
• Me: "But my lifetime plan..."
• Parsio: "Oh, that's actually only for a year." 🤦♂️
Lesson Learned:
Always read the fine print, even on PH deals. "Lifetime" might not mean what you think it means.
Questions for the Community:
1. Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Parsio?
2. What alternatives would you recommend for reliable parsing services?
3. How do you vet "lifetime" deals before jumping in?
Final Thoughts:
While Parsio's tech seemed solid, their business practices left a lot to be desired. As hunters, we're always on the lookout for the next big thing, but sometimes we need to watch out for each other too.
Remember: A deal is only as good as the company's word. Choose wisely, hunt responsibly! 🕵️♂️🚀

Intentional Service Downgrade for first users, my paid account has been closed because of this review.
I’ve been using Parsio for over two years now, and I was one of the first users since I signed up through AppSumo. I was thrilled with the service, which worked extremely well until last November.
I was using Parsio to extract data from certain emails I receive. However, the email forwarding feature no longer works, and Parsio no longer "receives" emails forwarded by Gmail. The customer service, which is extremely poor by the way, suggested I subscribe to a €30/month add-on to get the service working again.
I’ve perfectly understood the move: Parsio intentionally degraded the service for AppSumo customers in order to force them into a paid monthly plan.
I find that shameful and disgraceful.

Proceed with Caution: Disappointing Treatment of Early Adopters by Parsio
Be careful of this company and its founder, as they have shown a disregard for their early adopters, or "sumolings." It is disheartening to witness a company that fails to appreciate the support and investment made by early adopters who believed in their potential.
When a company neglects the individuals who contributed their money and time during the critical early stages, it raises concerns about their integrity and commitment. If a company is willing to overlook the loyalty of those who helped them establish a foothold, one can only wonder how far they might go in compromising their principles.
It is essential to exercise caution when dealing with Parsio. While their offerings may seem enticing, potential customers should be aware of the company's questionable treatment of early adopters. The decision to support a company should be based on a careful evaluation of their track record and how they honor their commitments.
In summary, prospective customers are advised to approach Parsio with caution. The disappointing treatment of early adopters raises doubts about the company's values and dedication to their customers. Be vigilant and make informed decisions before engaging with Parsio.

When the product first launched on AppSumo, it worked flawlessly. I could easily parse any email by creating a custom template that matched the necessary fields across multiple inboxes. The setup was clean, integration with Google Sheets for no-code automation was seamless, and I even upgraded from tier 1 to tier 3 to show my support—all while using less than a third of the 3000 available credits. (Initial rating: 5 Stars)
However, after a few months, all email parsing suddenly stopped. When I reached out for support, Andrew insisted that the issue was due to a configuration error on my end. After verifying that everything was in order, I contacted him again, only to be told that the product would work only if I subscribed to a monthly plan—since monthly subscribers were on a faster server. This was my first red flag, especially since I was well past the return period on AppSumo. (Deduction: -2 Stars)
In May 2023, the situation worsened. Following their Product Hunt launch, the company was inundated with negative reviews from other users experiencing similar problems. In one email, they promised lifetime users that all beta features would be accessible within 1-3 months, with the exception of the AI-powered OCR PDF & signature parser. Due to high operating costs, they proposed a paid add-on for that feature, offering discounted rates for lifetime customers. Despite these assurances, few of the promised updates were ever implemented, and my subsequent inquiries went unanswered. (Deduction: -1 Star)
Fast forward to February 2025, and lifetime accounts began disappearing—mine included. There has been no response via email or live chat regarding these deletions. (Deduction: -1 Star)
Overall, while the service initially performed exactly as advertised on AppSumo, it later became clear that the company was more interested in upselling new subscriptions than honoring the original lifetime offer. This bait-and-switch approach left many lifetime subscribers feeling misled and abandoned. (Deduction: -1 Star)
In the end, the product was excellent, but the customer service was abysmal. For their treatment of lifetime subscribers and poor communication, they truly deserve 0 Stars.
