iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. It works on Macs with macOS 10.14 or newer. iTerm2 brings the terminal into the modern age with features you never knew you always wanted.
Although there are some features I wish were here, iTerm2 is still perhaps the most straightforward yet powerful alternative to the default terminal. Absolutely love it!
It is very easy to use. I use it for all my development tasks and for most of the time for git command line tools. I think it is the best command line application available. It is not overcomplicated, it has great autocomplete suggestions, color combinations and user control.
