Really really interesting software which helps a lot to improve UX of websites I develop. Easy integration and I like that it's easy to protect the users privacy if wished.
HotJar is one of my favorite tools to track users behavior. While Analytics is great to understand how people move across your pages, Hotjar's heatmaps are revolutionary in the way they allow you to grasp what the user wanted during their session.
New pricing models splits their core features into two parts, meaning they can charge more for the same service. All features work well, but this commodification of a previously unified service is disingenuous.
Hotjar is my go-to for really seeing how users interact with a site. It’s like flipping on the lights in a dark room – heatmaps, session recordings, and feedback polls show exactly where people click, scroll, and drop off. Super helpful for figuring out what’s working (and what’s just in the way). Setup is quick, and the insights are gold for improving UX, conversions, and even content strategy. I use it regularly before shipping updates or redesigns – it’s basically user research without the hassle. If you care about user experience, Hotjar is a must-have in your stack.
