Sooo a little about the project -
🤔 Why I created Getlog
I've had a need for my own changelog for multiple products and sure there are plenty of other products out there, but I felt some were lacking certain features, or not what I was looking for is some other aspect. So I figured I would build my own and let others also use it for free! Plus, I knew I would enjoy the process as always! 🚀
⏰ How long did it take
I was aiming for 4/6 weeks to launch the MVP it took me just under 8 weeks 😅 in total to finish the MVP this is outside of my 9-5 job working evenings and weekends.
👨💻 Features worth mentioning
- A beautiful looking changelog that can be up and running in minutes.
- Light and Dark mode (everyone loves a dark mode option 😜)
- Custom domains - use your own domain for your changelog eg. changelog.yourdomain.com
- Allow your users react to your posts.
- Create multiple changelogs under one account.
- It's completely free!
🚀 Plans for the future
- Adding more functionality to changelogs, like optional comments, automatic publishing on a certain date, custom favicon options, custom OG image options and more.
- Optimize changelog pages to improve lighthouse scores (already scores of around 90)
- We will also be adding stats for your changelogs.
Long term I would love to explore adding new functionality for the maker community like roadmaps, feedback tools, image presentation tools. Basically anything that a maker would find useful for product and their users.

I've seen a few other change log-like products in the past. Curious to hear your POV on how Getlog compares.

I think currently the main pro for Getlog vs other similar products right now is the design, ease of use and the fact it's free!
In the future, I want to add more functionality to changelogs like comments, auto publishing, meta data/OG images, stats and more dynamic content in changelogs like video, audio etc.
Long term I aim to make Getlog a suite of products that are useful to makers that all fall under one account. 🙌 🚀
