Looked promising but perhaps the recent generous AppSumo offer has broken them. 23hrs after pointing the service at our website it is still stuck on training (which is suggested to take just minutes) and no human response to support requests for 2 days. Wary.
While the concept is promising, the execution falls short. The price is high considering the limited features, which often don't function as intended. As noted by several users, the platform can remain in training mode for extended periods, ranging from minutes to hours. Although there's an option to integrate additional data from texts or documents, it's challenging to get the system to utilize this information effectively. My dissatisfaction is compounded by subpar customer support. Despite attempting to cancel my subscription, I continued to be billed. Furthermore, my request for a refund, based on months of unused service, was met with minimal response and ultimately declined. I would advise potential customers to consider other alternatives.
As for the beginning, the application is very good. It works quickly and learns fast. It doesn't make significant mistakes. I'm looking forward to the next update. EDIT: Sorry, I need to change my opinion. Instead of using uploaded data, AI invents its own facts and does not stick to the information provided in documents and on websites. I know it's a general weight of CHatGPT, but I was hoping that such a model would use its own learning
I had a test run with it came out and it was not very successful. Just tested again this week and oh my good.... it is by far the best chatbot powered by chatgpt out there. Netx on the roadmap should be integration with social media + a flow builder. The last one will be not easy but if we can guide the AI a lil more on what he's suppose to do then i'll cut down to 1/3 my salaries expenses lol
Chatbase. I purchased the top tier Appsumo deal of 40 chatbots. However, my Chatbase account only showed a free account when i looked at using it again some months later after the deal.. I contacted Chatbase in January 2025 and politely pointed this out, however, to my surprise their polite email response was to not honour the original deal, but to offer the money paid out by myself as credit on a monthly plan instead. Appsumo tried there best to resolve this for me, however Chatbases business ethic was clearly only motivated by money. It cost me a lot of time trying to resolve this. To the point that i considered putting a review on TrustPilot and everywhere else, with copies of my emails to enlighten others, however i chose to just right it off as a bad experience. I have bought over 300+ deals on Appsumo, and they have always been very helpful, as have other businesses that i have invested in on their platform. To give an example. I am disabled with a damaged memory and have forgotten to activate many deals, and out of ALL of them Chatbase was the ONLY one to not do so. It said a lot to me about their business ethics and attitude towards its customers unfortunately. I got an email saying that Chatbase were on ProductHunt, so i thought as others had written one star reviews, I would mention my honest experience. I have no idea if their product is any good. This is not a review about that, as i have not used it. To do so would be unethical and dishonest on my part. This is a one star review to highlight, that in my opinion they need to be more understanding and customer focused in the future. I truly hope that they read this review, and that they treat future customers better going forward. Thankfully i purchased other chatbot softwares such as Answerly ,as part of redundancy measures. It appears that i was wise to do so. The best businesses learn from their mistakes, and all aspects of their business. Continuing to positively grow and develop over time. I hope that Chatbase does this, and become the outstanding Chatbot business that they proport to be. I may have been extremely disappointed in them, however if they get excellent reviews going forward, and provide an excellent service to others, then my review would then be out of date and based on who they were. In that hypothetical context i would wish them every success.
