For the last 5 years, active_admin and administrate have been the 2 default admin "frameworks" that were present in most commercial projects that I worked with. They felt legacy since day 1 of implementing them, but there was nothing better (faster, cheaper) on the market. I had the (horrible) experience building complex UIs with active_admin, adding Hotwire to it... 😭 Well, now AVO is my default go-to admin in Rails. It has a nice UI, no technical debt and does not use any legacy technology (looking at you jQuery). So yeah, I've come here to say thanks to Adrian and the dev team! ;)
It's great. I was looking for something like Laravel Nova but in Rails and this is the best option. Thank you guys
Avo is the de facto tool for developers to build fast software. The built-in features for global search and dynamic behaviour and integrations are top-notch and in place, by all means, because we want to create incredible software for our customers and for ourselves to handle maintenance with peace of mind. It was a reboot in my career getting to know this tool after 20 years of creating software. Kudos to Adrian and the team, and count on me for the good days ahead. Cheers from Brazil.
I couldn't find any limitations to this day, and all support I needed was provided.
