Voxio is a mobile recording app that will transform any audio into concise notes. You can create notes from meetings, lectures, interviews, but also personal memos just by speaking to your phone or write formal emails, only with your voice.
Hey all!
Today I'm launching a mobile app that you might find very useful on everyday basis.
🎤 At the end of the last year, I noticed there is not much going on around audio. Everyone were so focused about big amounts of data, chatting with [whatever], summarizing docs, etc.
Basically, everyone was converting text to text (which is very useful, don't get me wrong), but there are other areas where we can gather data and use it - AUDIO!
🧠 Voxio allows you to convert your speech into formatted text that you use everyday, and normally you would type by hand.
There are a lot of use cases here, but I typically divide them into two categories:
1️⃣ First one is when it's you speaking to your phone. By just throwing your thoughts into the microphone you can:
🟢 create a concise text that is meant for easy reading and understanding (using the Cleanup template)
🟢 extract items from the speech and automatically format them into a list
🟢 write a Casual Email, for example to your co-worker
🟢 write a Formal Email - I use it for responding to users for support
🟢 compose a Tweet or a Post for other platforms
🟢 write a whole long-format Blog post
2️⃣ Second situation is when you're not the only one speaking. You just leave your phone recording and you can get:
🟢 meeting notes
🟢 lecture notes
🟢 extracted and formatted questions and answers from an interview

📝 Let me also share a quick story, for those who are interested:
🏗️ At first, Voxio actually started as an app for "converting speech into Notion pages". So it was pretty much built on top of this popular app that's so hot these days.
🙋♂️ As more and more folks were interested in Voxio, I decided to make it more independent, as it is now.
But you can still integrate it with Notion if you want to 😉

I'd love to hear any feedback from you guys.
What do you all think?
@itsrichardshank This is awesome. I can see howw this would benefit multiple niches e.g.
Students
LE
Medical pros
Podcasters
Are their any specific markets that it would be best used in?
@ric_arthur I'm still searching for the best market, right now I'm aiming for students mostly as I am trying to make the Lecture Notes templates better and better.
But actually, the most popular use case for now is just the Cleanup and Emails. Turns out people just want to throw thoughts into the mic without focusing much.
@itsrichardshank Congratulations on the launch of Voxio! 🎉 It sounds like a fantastic app with a lot of potential to revolutionize how we interact with audio. Your focus on utilizing audio data in a world dominated by text conversion is refreshing and innovative.
The two categories of use cases you outlined are incredibly practical and cover a wide range of scenarios, from personal to professional settings. It's impressive how Voxio can streamline tasks like composing emails, tweets, and blog posts, as well as capturing meeting and lecture notes effortlessly.
Your journey from being an app for "converting speech into Notion pages" to becoming a standalone platform is inspiring. It's evident that you've put a lot of thought and effort into refining Voxio to meet the needs of its users.
I'm excited to see how Voxio continues to evolve and how it empowers users to leverage the power of audio in their daily lives. Keep up the great work! 👏
Congratulations on your launch, Richard!
Voxio is very useful in certain situations, such as when driving and needing to record ideas. I'm eager to give it a try!
By the way, I'm intrigued by the product's name. Does it have an interesting backstory?
Voxio looks fantastic! The ability to effortlessly convert speech to text is incredibly useful. I'm eager to try it out for meeting notes and personal memos. Congratulations to the team on a successful launch!
